People's Daily Online May 7 On April 29, a reporter learned from Nanjing Yilanzhai Art Museum that an ancient painting depicting the grand scene of Mochou Lake 200 years ago will be unveiled in Nanjing for the first time during the May Day Festival.
This ancient painting called "Mochou Lake Scenery" was painted by Qiu Ying, a famous painter during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is preceded by an inscription and a collection of poems written by famous calligraphers at that time, which is very exciting. The hand scroll begins with the four characters "Mo Xi Jiali" written in seal script by Sun Xingyan, a famous scholar from the Qing Dynasty. At the end of the scroll there is a large inscription and postscript by Wang Wenzhi, who is known as the "light ink explorer of flowers" in the history of calligraphy. There are also poems written by Li Yaodong, the prefect of Nanjing at the time, and Li Yaodong's teacher. , Yuan Mei, the author of "Suiyuan Poetry Talk", wrote a long poem about Mochou Lake, etc. It can be seen from this painting that Mochou Lake in the Qing Dynasty was a place admired by literati and poets.
Among the 80 paintings and calligraphy works on display at the same time as "Mochou Lake Scenery", there are also two national treasure-level Tang Dynasty scripture manuscripts from Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, which are 8 meters and 5 meters long respectively. Especially The 5-meter-long hand scroll is copied on both sides, which is very rare among scriptural scrolls. Particularly rare are the letters on display from some Ming and Qing calligraphers, including Jin Nong, Zhao Zhiqian, He Shaoji, etc., which have cultural and historical value. The issue of ghostwriting by Jin Nong and Zhao Zhiqian that has troubled the research community for many years has also been confirmed in the letters. (Xinhua)
