Yan Zhenqing's masterpiece was written when he was a few years old.

Yan Zhenqing's works have been handed down from generation to generation, and scholars have talked about them for thousands of years, all of which were written years later. 1997 The epitaph of Guo in Tang Dynasty unearthed in Yanshi was written at the age of 43 in the first year of Tianbao, Yan Zhenqing. The publication of epitaph rubbings caused a sensation in the book world, and it was called Yan's earliest work.

In the autumn of 2003, the epitaph of Wang Lin written by Yan Zhenqing in the 29th year of Kaiyuan (74 1) was unearthed in Zhanggou Village, Longmen Town, Luoyang. The full name of Tongzhi is "Epitaph of Zhao in Tang Dynasty and Epitaph of Taiyuan King", limestone, 90 cm long and 90.5 cm wide. There are moire patterns on all sides, but the number of "Twenty-nine Years of Kaiyuan" is on the lower side. The chronicle is full of 32 lines and 32 words, with a shallow boundary.

Two Tang books written by Wang Zhifu have been circulated. Official to "Runzhou secretariat, Jiangnan Dongdao interview disposal, and Fujian and other States, Diyuan County, Jianguo Gong". He once wrote 30 volumes of generalized meanings, 100 articles by Dai Li and 30 volumes of collected works. Fan's epitaph unearthed in Luoyang in recent years was written by Xu Jiao in the 27th year of Kaiyuan (739).

In the 29th year of Kaiyuan, Wang Lin died in Runzhou, and Jiao Xu was heartbroken. The following year, Ba died of illness. Xu Jiao's literary talent is superior, and Wang Linzhi's inscription is noble. The inscription was written by Yan Zhenqing. At this time, Jiao Xu was in his fifties and Yan was in his thirties, and his position was not high. Jiao Xu let Yan Shudan, which can be described as a discerning eye.

With Tang dynasty, regular script is especially prosperous. During the reign of Xuanzong, calligraphy was particularly important, and there were many talented people in the calligraphy world, each leading the way. As for taking the master's degree, calligraphy has become an indispensable item. Yan Zhenqing, in the prosperous new century, "entered the first subject at the rate of enrollment", which proves that his literary talent is superior and his calligraphy is exquisite. Therefore, he soon became a school bookkeeper. Jiao Xu entrusted Yan Zhenqing to write, which should be said to be another opportunity for Yan Zhenqing to display his talents.
