What kind of lines are better? Generally speaking, hard lines, sharp lines, thick and round lines, thin and tough lines are easy to produce strength; However, lines with rising lines, bubble lines, light floating and rough ink color are difficult to generate force. In short, the lines with a strong sense are all lines with a sense of life.
Among the aesthetic factors of China's calligraphy, besides the structure of white cloth, the most important one is the line. In addition to the sense of force, the three-dimensional sense of lines is a very important standard. Comments on calligraphy have always been based on circles. Strength refers to the sense of force, and circle refers to the three-dimensional sense. Although China's calligraphy paper is raw and ripe, it is rare to use totally impermeable paper. The so-called penetrating paper back actually represents the thickness of lines by the depth of penetration when writing.
The lines penetrating the back of the paper can penetrate the translucency of the paper and present a three-dimensional sense of thickness at the edges of the lines; When the paper is swept away, the lines whose ink color is smaller than the deep layer of the paper have no such thickness feeling at all. Simply relying on the "transparent paper back" only creates a three-dimensional feeling. To reach the realm of circle, it must be expressed by a high degree of pen skills. So we usually practice calligraphy and do the following:
Strengthen central practice
The reason why the center pen is easy to form round lines is because of the pressure distribution when the pen contacts the paper. The pressure along the center line of the pen tip is the largest, and the secondary milli-pressure on both sides gradually decreases, resulting in different deepening degree and dryness. The middle thick edge and the middle thin edge or silk edge are slightly different, showing a three-dimensional sense of "round" line. This is the basic skill of writing lines. Without a center, there is no way to advance in all directions. For beginners, it is especially necessary to practice the center with Xiao Zhuan, which will get twice the result with half the effort.
Grasp the turning point and press.
In addition to the necessity of keeping the center stroke, in the process of stroke, it is also necessary to lift the pen and change the forward direction when the stroke turns (that is, lift the pen lightly, pause repeatedly and run in the opposite direction) to produce a powerful turning effect and line changes. Each line is not separate, but should be full of fluidity in the middle of the whole word, so that the font can have a sense of vitality under the combination of lines. In the process of learning, we should pay attention.
Controls the brush and ink color.
The ink is thick and the pen is sluggish, and the movement is weak; The ink is smooth and dynamic. Slow writing is weak, fast writing is strong. But if the ink is too light, the lines will swell up and lack spirit; If you use the pen too fast, the lines will become smooth and light. Therefore, students should be told to be flexible and broad in writing, to turn freely, to use appropriate ink depth, to permeate nature, to be "quick but not dry", to be calm and decisive, and not to be anxious or slow. Only by running alternately can it be easy to form rhythmic lines. Therefore, when writing, we should adjust the writing speed according to the strength of the paper and the color of the ink.
Control the rhythm of writing
Everything in the world has a certain rhythm of development and change, so does the art of calligraphy, and calligraphers of all ages have attached great importance to it. The conversion between Chinese strokes and stippling lines must meet the requirements of normal stroke order. The disconnection between dotted lines is carried out according to certain structural rules, that is, first up and then down, first left and then right, first inside and then outside. This connection between lines is actually the flow process of lines connected with qi and blood. Once you are at a loss, you will fall into a "broken file" state when writing, resulting in a faint feeling between the lines. For this problem, you must strengthen your writing.
