The Historical Evolution of Ouyuan

At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, during the Yongzheng period, the magistrate of Baoning returned to Li, so he built a "Sheyuan" here, also known as "(now Dongyuan)". In the tenth year of Guangxu, Shen Bingcheng returned to other provinces to be an official, and the whole family followed. In the twenty-first year of Guangxu, Shen Bingcheng went to Suzhou for treatment, but the treatment was ineffective and he died in Ouyuan. Since then, the park has been in disrepair and scattered to residents' homes. 1898, educator Zhao Shanchang once lived here with Chen, Shen, Zhang Yingu and Zhang Weinong, dean of the Agricultural College of Nanjing Central University. 1932, the East Garden was leased from Yang Yin, and the Le Er Women's Association was established. After Yang was killed, the East Garden was once empty, and it became increasingly deserted. From 65438 to 0939, Qian Mu, a master of contemporary Chinese studies, lived in the East Garden with his family Mu Ying, and his eldest nephew Qian Wei also lived in this garden. 194 1 year, Changzhou industrialist Liu Guojun bought the abandoned couple garden and renovated it.
