Where is Zhaoling?

Zhaoling is the burial tomb of Emperor Taizong and Wen Deshi. It is located on the main peak of Jiuzhang Mountain in Xia Yan Town, Liquan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, and is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Zhaoling is 70km from Xi, 30km from Xianyang and 25km from Xi Xianyang International Airport.

From Emperor Wende's burial in the tenth year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (636) to the 29th year of Kaiyuan in Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (74 1), the construction of Zhaoling took 107, with a circumference of 60 kilometers and an area of 200 square kilometers. * * There are more than 80 tombs/kloc-0, which are the "Eighteen Tombs of the Tang Dynasty" in Guanzhong.

Emperor Taizong died of illness.

In the twenty-third year of Zhenguan (649), Emperor Taizong fell ill (it is said that taking Tianzhu longevity medicine led to sudden illness), and the treatment eventually failed, so he ordered Li Zhi to act as an agent in Jinyemen.

In the 23rd year of Zhenguan (10,649), on May 26th, Taizong died in the Hanfeng Hall of Cuiwei Palace in Zhong Nanshan. Shi Wen, the first Qin Emperor, was buried in Zhaoling, whose temple name was Taizong.

In the first year of Shangyuan in Tang Gaozong (674), Emperor Wu Wen was added in the eighth year of Tianbao (749) and Emperor Xiaoguang was added in the thirteenth year of Tianbao (754).
