On July 17, the fifty-ninth year (1794), Ji Huang died of illness in Beijing with a lifespan of eighty-four years. Qianlong sent the eighth son of the emperor to pay homage to the prince, and gave the prince the title of Taishi, burial, and the posthumous title Wengong. His works include eight volumes of "Chronology of River Control" and "Collected Poems of Xiqingtang", as well as "Memories of River Control" and authentic books handed down to the world.
