Where did the tablet come from?
Xi 'an Forest of Steles is the earliest and largest stone carving library in China, which has collected the representative works of famous calligraphers such as Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ou Yangxun, Ouyang Tong, Chu Suiliang, Huai Su and Zhang Xu. It is famous at home and abroad for its collection of steles, and is favored by Chinese and foreign tourists. The collection of inscriptions covers the Han, Wei, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, with a total of more than 2,300 pieces. It is the gathering place of China calligraphy and legal masters' inscriptions. Among them, Yanjia Temple Monument, Xuanzang Pagoda Monument, Tanghuangfu Birthday Monument, etc. are recognized by the world as models of Yan, Liu and European styles, and there are also self-contained "guarding Jin style", "Preface Monument to the Three Monks of Datang" compiled by Wang Xizhi, Huang Tingjian and Su Shi in Song Dynasty, and calligraphy treasures such as Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty Huang Qichang. Xi 'an Forest of Steles Museum has produced some rubbings of famous steles and a large number of rubbings based on some physical copies of steles for calligraphers, calligraphy lovers and tourists to buy. The existing rubbings include Yan Zhenqing's Tangta Induction Monument and Liu Gongquan's Tangxuan Pagoda Monument. There are also works by great calligraphers such as Chu Suiliang and Ou Yangxun. In addition to loose leaves, rubbings are also mounted into rolls, which can be treasured or given as gifts to relatives and friends.
