When did Nantong leave Yangzhou in history?

The Historical Origin of Nantong

Five or six thousand years ago, except Rugao and the northwest of Hai 'an, most of Nantong was still a vast sea area. From Han Dynasty to 1 1 century, during the formation of Nantong, Zhou Fuhai, Hudouzhou, Dongbuzhou and other sandbars were connected with the mainland, and from 18 to the beginning of the 20th century, a number of sandbars were connected with the mainland. Four large sandbars are connected together, and Nantong territory is basically formed.

In the Han Dynasty, there was a sandbar named Zhou Fuhai in the eastern part of Rudong today. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the sandbar was connected with the sand mouth in the eastern part of Yangzhou, which was the first time in the history of Nantong's land formation. This time, Dabing extended Yang Tai Shazui (formerly known as Liaojiaozui) to the east for more than 50 kilometers, reaching the east of Changsha in Rudong County today. This is the eastern border of Hailing County (now Taizhou City).

During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, there was a sandbar in Nantong city, which was called Hudouzhou, later called Hudouzhou. To the east of Hudouzhou, there are sandbars such as Nanzhou, Changsha and Dongshezhou. Hudouzhou has been connected with these sandbars, and its scope has been continuously expanded. /kloc-At the beginning of the 20th century, the northwest of Hudouzhou was connected with Rugao mainland, which was the second time in Nantong's land-making history that sandbars were connected with land, and the north bank of the Yangtze River extended to the present Yuxi area. /kloc-Tongzhou was established here in the middle of 0/0 century.

1 1 In the middle of the century, the land connection of Dongbuzhou was the third time in the history of Nantong's port opening. From the early Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties, there were sandbars such as Dongsha, Xisha, Dongzhou and Buzhou in the Yangtze River estuary, and Xisha was also called Gu Junsha. Dongzhou and Buzhou were two big sandbars at the mouth of the Yangtze River in the early Five Dynasties. Dongzhou and Buzhou are called Dongbuzhou, while Dongbuzhou, Gujunsha and some small sandbars are called Haimen Island. After Dongbuzhou was connected with the mainland, the sand mouth on the north bank of the Yangtze River extended to the east of Qidong, which was called Songliao Jiaozui in ancient times, and now the east of Nantong has basically taken shape.

From the end of Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of Qing Dynasty, a large-scale collapse occurred on the east coast of Tongzhou. From the end of 17 to the beginning of 18, sandbars appeared in the south of the Yangtze River along the line from Yuxi to Yudong in Tongzhou. Haimen Zhili Guild Hall was founded in the middle of18th century. Since then, Haiting and its sandbars to the east and south have gradually connected with Tongzhou mainland, which is the fourth big merger in Nantong's land-making history. At the end of 19 and the beginning of the 20th century, the territory of modern Nantong was formed.

Nantong administrative system

With the development of ancient fishing and salt industry and the revitalization of agriculture in Nantong, the ancient economy of Nantong gradually prospered, followed by residential settlements, and county-level cities in Nantong history were gradually established. Before the Tang Dynasty, the county was the highest local administrative unit in Nantong. After the Five Dynasties, there were several local administrative units such as Lu, Zhou, Zhili Hall, Army, Jian and County. For example, Jinghai, Tongzhou Road and Li Fengjian. The army is an administrative setting with military nature, which embodies the military status of Nantong in that year. Supervision is a productive administrative setting, and Nantong's "supervision" mainly manages salt production. There were two kinds of "states" in Ming and Qing Dynasties: scattered states and zhili states. Tongzhou in the Ming Dynasty was a scattered state, also known as a subordinate state, and was a subordinate unit of the government, ranking slightly higher than the county. Since Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, Tongzhou has been Zhili, directly under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and its status is equivalent to that of the government. The status of Zhili Hall is the same as that of Zhili Prefecture.

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there were four counties in Nantong, namely Ninghai, Linjiang, Grape and Rugao, and later Haian County. By the Zhou and Sui Dynasties, most of these counties had merged.

In the Tang Dynasty, Hu Douzhou developed. In the second year of Xuanzong's reign (875), Nantong restrained Langshan Town. Later, fengle town, Daan Town, Chongming Town and Langshan Town were established in the Five Dynasties. In the Five Dynasties, it was the Yao family that directly ruled Jinghai and Dongzhou. Yao is building a town hall, called "Jinghai Capital", which governs four major towns: Langshan, Fengle, Daan and Chongming.

In the third year of Xiande in the later Zhou Dynasty (956), Zhou Jun was attacked on all sides, and Yao regime controlled the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and Jinghai for about half a century. At the beginning of the fifth year of Xiande (958), a still water division was established in the later Zhou Dynasty, and it was soon promoted to Tongzhou (now Nantong City). Jinghai and Haimen counties were placed under the jurisdiction of Tongzhou, and the state was governed by Jinghai. Tongzhou, according to its geographical location, can be from Hailu Road to Qiyan Liaodong, south to Fujian and Vietnam, south to Sanwu, and west to Chu and Shu. Extending in all directions, because it is famous. Tongzhou belonged to Huainan East Road in Song Dynasty. In the first year of Tiansheng (1023), Tongzhou was renamed Chongzhou, also known as Chongchuan. In the seventh year of Zheng He (1 1 17), Tongzhou was once called Jinghai County. From the early Yuan Dynasty to the 15th to 20th years of Yuan Dynasty (1278 ~ 1283), Tongzhou was upgraded to Tongzhou Road, and it was restored to Yangzhou Road in the 21st year. Chongming County once belonged to Tongzhou briefly, and then to Suzhou. In the early Ming Dynasty, Jinghai County was abolished. Since then, Tongzhou has only jurisdiction over Haimen County. In the 11th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1672), Haimen County was abolished and Tongzhou had no county. In the second year of Yongzheng (1724), Tongzhou was promoted to Zhili Prefecture, and Rugao and Taixing counties were placed under the jurisdiction of Tongzhou. This affiliation was maintained until the late Qing Dynasty. In the thirty-third year of Qianlong (1768), Haimen Zhili Hall was established, directly under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province.

19 12, the government of the Republic of China set up a county in the waste state hall, and Tongzhou in Jiangsu was renamed Nantong County, and Haifoye was renamed Haimen County; Qidong County was founded in 1928. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the New Fourth Army established the Soviet area. Now Nantong used to be the jurisdiction of four administrative regions of the Soviet Union, and the democratic government established county-level political power. 194 1 at the beginning of the year, Ruxi county was established, 1943, Zishi county was established in Haitai area. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Nantong was once a part of the ninth administrative region and an administrative region of Jiangsu and Anhui. 1945, Ruxi was changed to Rugao County, and Rugao was changed to Rudong County. 1948 change zishi county to hai' an county. 1949 Nantong city was liberated, Nantong county was established as a city, and it was located in Nantong city. Nantong City was once a city under the jurisdiction of the Northern Jiangsu Administrative Office, and later a city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. After the establishment of Nantong, Nantong County was established in Jingsha. Six counties in Nantong are under the jurisdiction of Nantong Commissioner's Office. 1in March, 1983, the system of city governing counties was implemented, forming the pattern of Nantong governing six counties and two districts. 1990 or so, Qidong, Nantong, Rugao and Haimen were removed from counties to build (county-level) cities, of which Nantong County was renamed Tongzhou City, and six counties (cities) were still under the jurisdiction of Nantong City.
