In fact, statues, sculptures and drawings for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas mainly rely on internal strength. Our hearts should correspond to buddhas and bodhisattvas, that is, to our Buddha nature. Purify self-mind, return to self-nature, and correspond to Buddha's heart. Only by corresponding to the Buddha nature of the heart can we create a solemn and complete Buddha statue. If we don't have this feeling of purity and peace in our hearts, then when we create a work, every specific detail we do at this moment will bear our troubles and habits on it. When the final work is finished, it will definitely not be so clean and solemn. When you are faced with a raw material at work, how do you choose? How to conceive and create? How to design this raw material? For example, calligraphy also needs a shelf structure or something. How to design works like ours is particularly important. Is it necessary to carve the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva in this position? Do you need to design some seawater and auspicious clouds around you? Who else? Where are they placed? Wait a minute. It all depends on your own vision and understanding. This vision comes from our inner wisdom. Without this superb wisdom, this work will be mediocre and unattractive. If you don't practice, it's hard to reach this extraordinary level. When we make this work, even small things like polishing and grinding can be done in detail. At least when we do this, we should let go of all delusions and clings. We should be worthy of this job and have such awareness. Because it is a statue of Buddha and Bodhisattva, I made this work just to see it. It is better to make a law than to make a Buddha or bodhisattva. Not only does it have no merits, but it is also a big mistake and a shame for your work. Once you start working, you should put aside greed and delusion and calm down. Even though I was upset just now, now that I am working, I should sink down and do it well. At least think about it, this work is like a real Buddha to worship and worship. You should be worthy of our Buddha nature! First of all, learning Buddhism is based on faith, and faith is the mother of virtue and virtue. Buddhism is the sea, only faith can enter, only wisdom. At the same time, if you can practice well, meditate and recite Buddha, you can also combine classics to settle yourself down. Just take an hour or two to practice every day! This will also help us to do things, and when we work, our hearts will be more stable and quiet. When every stroke and every knife falls, it corresponds to our pure heart and our Buddha nature, so that the carved Buddha-Bodhisattva statue will be solemn and complete. If this knife goes on, we will leave the other side with the delusions and distractions of ordinary people in the world. Even if the kung fu in our hands is very good and the kung fu in your heart is not there, then this work is flawed and it is impossible to reach the extreme. Painting is not with your hands, but with your heart. This Buddha statue was not carved by hand, but by heart. With what heart? With our hearts. It is our Buddha's heart, our pure heart and equal heart, without distractions and delusions. The works we have finished in this consciousness must be perfect. If we can really know ourselves and our true nature, don't talk about becoming a Buddha, don't talk about transcending life and death, just talk about the present. If we can fully understand ourselves, the pain will disappear in an instant and the troubles will be empty in an instant. It is an understanding from the heart and an insight from the nature! Isn't this a great benefit? First of all, the benefits are our own! Benefiting the heart and nourishing the heart! When our hearts return to the original purity and freedom, our paintings and sculptures are completed in purity and peace. Then this work will certainly be particularly perfect, more corresponding to the realm of Buddha and Bodhisattva. Not everyone can be a master. To be a master, you must be integrated with body and mind, and kung fu can be perfect. If you don't work hard from the heart, no matter how good the hand is, it will be a craftsman at best. Or what is it? We Buddhists often call it a mage. As master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, once said, God is a little teacher, and eloquence is not an obstacle. He is just a knowledgeable disciple. He may be a mage, but he is not a Zen master. Therefore, if you want to be a real sculpture master, you can't just work hard on your hands, not your heart. For example, the Dunhuang murals in China enjoy a high reputation in the world. They are national treasures, priceless. Why? Because Dunhuang murals are painted by practitioners! It is said that at that time, everyone who painted murals had a small cave, and they closed their doors and practiced while painting. Internal cultivation is very high. No matter how high our modern painting level is and how famous we are, you can't catch up! Zhang Daqian lived in Dunhuang for several years in order to copy murals. A master like him finally drew 70% to 80%, but the spiritual and spiritual parts could not be reached. Therefore, he himself is very puzzled. Why were the ancients so advanced and great? I can't reach the painting realm of the ancients. He didn't know that the ancients practiced, and we didn't. If you don't practice, you will never catch up, you can only catch up. Therefore, if you want to paint and carve Buddha statues well, you must have practice. Practitioners pay attention to continuous improvement and sublimation in the process of practicing and doing things. With the purification of body and mind, our worries, delusions and distractions will disappear, and finally everyone's prajnaparamita and wisdom will appear. The ultimate goal of practicing Buddhism is to get rid of life and death, transcend pain and worry, and cling to delusion respectively. When we are making statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva, we should keep our inner peace even if we carve a small Buddha pendant or sketch some simple patterns or lines with a brush in the early stage. Not everyone can reach it quickly. Because we live in daily life, our thoughts, emotions and ideas are scattered every day. A true yogi is to stay awake every day. For example, like the Buddha, always in the center. We are carving Buddha statues and Bodhisattva statues every day. Look how quiet and peaceful the Buddha and Bodhisattva are! As an ordinary person who does not practice, he may be limited to faith, burning incense and worshipping Buddha, so it is difficult to achieve such a clear and transparent state in his heart. When dealing with things, whether at home or at work, it will not be so smooth. So believe in Buddhism. The deeper you believe in Buddhism, the more you will practice. If we practice Buddhism deeper, we will become Buddhas. Let's write a letter first, and then revise it. Repair is action and action. We should really repair and work hard. For example, Wen Hughes, as Buddhism often says, has a process. Smell Buddhism first, and smell is what you see and hear. I have seen it, listened to it, and then thought about it, that is, thinking, thinking and digesting. What happened to Buddha? What is life? What is reincarnation? Impermanence, causality, these all need our good digestion and understanding. In addition, it is necessary to really repair the demonstration. Fix what? Self-cultivation! Correct your delusion, separation, greed and persistence. Buddhism is a kind of mental method, a kind of mental method, which is used to adjust the mentality. In Hokkekyo, there is only one ride for ten Buddhas, and there are no two and no three, so it is convenient to say that the Buddha is removed. Why are our hearts uneasy? Because we have sadness, pain, worry, gain and loss, right and wrong, good and bad, right and wrong ... These are the laws of life and death. All the laws related to life and death are illusory stages caused by our illusions. Because we have persistent climbing, we have life and death, and we have this world of life and death. If we can return to self-nature in work, sculpture and painting, we can calm our hearts. As the Buddhist scriptures say, even if you only read Amitabha, you will return to nature in an instant and eliminate the felony of life and death of 8 billion robbery, which has such great benefits. At the moment of returning to the original heart, delusion, separation and thinking stopped, and now we have a subtle and clear understanding that we are really like Buddha. This man is full of spiritual consciousness. He never left us and followed us without regrets, but we never knew it. We are human beings, and it follows us as human beings; We are animals, and it follows us like animals; We go to hell, and it follows us to hell. This is who I really am. Although we do things that are not as good as the law at will to trample on our Buddha nature, our naive Buddha nature has never abandoned us. Perhaps in our daily life, there are still many delusions and distractions that are hard to overcome, because without meditation and practice, there is naturally no real effort to pay attention to it, and there is no power to the environment. If we can spare some time to practice every day, then at least let our hearts settle down at work, face what we are doing wholeheartedly, live in the present without delusion. According to the Diamond Sutra, we can't gain experience in the past, we can't gain experience in the present and we can't gain experience in the future. The heart of the past has passed; Now the heart, just finished this sentence has become the past, don't cling to the present; The future, the future hasn't happened yet. Stop dreaming and climb the mountain. Buddhism is in the world and inseparable from the world. We earnestly do everything at present, which is the best practice in life. The heart is completely pure, which is called demonstration and witness. Not only know this truth. It is not enough to know this truth. If you don't have time in your heart, this knife will be biased. This eye, the corner of the eye should have been higher, but it will not work if it is lowered. As I have just seen, there is a Guanyin Bodhisattva's eyes, which are a little off-set, that is, when the knife goes down, it is off-set and wrong. Because at that time your mind was not focused on mindfulness, and you were delusional. If the heart does not return, the hand will be biased. How can this Buddha be completed without real kung fu in mind? Our hearts are unclean, and we have not completely returned to our self, the clear and complete childless self. You never see your heart clearly, and you never know who you really are. How can it be achieved? Where to participate, Buddhism is enlightened in one sentence. We are doing kung fu, sculpture and painting, and we are also enlightened and doing kung fu. All Buddhism is Buddhism. If you can't live for a moment, it corresponds to our Buddha nature, and you are the Buddha. Buddha is lively and free, and does not stick to any form. I don't have to meditate here to become a Buddha. We often say that each other is born from the heart. You are carving Buddha statues every day, and slowly your face changes. You will become very peaceful, compassionate and beautiful, and everyone will be happy to see you. Like a Buddha, like a bodhisattva, others want to be close to you. Your face will change because your heart has changed. Circumstances are created by the mind, and everything is created by the mind. When the heart changes, the appearance changes. Therefore, in daily life, even if you cook, the same materials are cooked by different people, and the taste of this dish is different, that is, your heart is different from others. We believe in Buddhism, from disgusting evil thoughts to kindness and kindness, from perfection to perfection, and from perfection to Taoism. This Tao is the wisdom that every one of us has. Everyone has three bodies and four brains. We often talk about dharma body, self-report, incarnation and four wisdom. Four kinds of wisdom, the first kind of wisdom is the wisdom of achievement. You see, everything the Buddha has done is complete, because the Buddha is successful and wise. We do, too. We just don't show it. What does it mean to achieve wisdom? With the wisdom to achieve all undertakings, any undertaking can be accomplished, and anything you want to do can be accomplished. We didn't mobilize this wisdom because we were stupid and upside down. Our greed, ignorance and worry have obscured our wisdom.
