What's the scenery like in Sanmen Mosque?
The second important holy place in Kailu Bay is the "Sanmen Mosque" in the ancient city of Medina, which was a gift from Aghlabid, an art connoisseur, to his city. The most intoxicating scene is the outer wall of a house with three arches, on which the soft and exquisite band-shaped carving patterns-inlaid with ancient Arabic calligraphy and plant patterns-shine. "This is the most elegant, unique, colorful and affectionate decoration I have ever seen in a mosque, and it is also the most perfect masterpiece of Arab decorative art." This is the sigh of master Ying Bosan after visiting the magnificent three-door mosque decorated with glazed ceramic ornaments.
