How to maintain Stipa?

Stipa tenuifolia likes loose and breathable pot soil, which can be made of pastoral soil and peat according to the ratio of 1: 2. Hi-light, it can be placed on the balcony or courtyard in the case of sufficient sunlight, and it can grow normally in the place where scattered light can be seen indoors under the condition of semi-shade maintenance. The diameter of the flowerpot can be 25~35 cm in spring, and some base fertilizer should be applied properly when putting the flowerpot, and no fertilization is needed during the growing season.

2. Stipa stolonifera is not resistant to water and humidity, so it should not be watered too often. When the topsoil is dry for 2~3 cm, it is permeable. Pruning once a year in autumn, stubble 5~ 10 cm, water permeable, and new leaves will grow after 7~ 14 days. The propagation mode is ramet propagation.

It can be done every spring or autumn. After taking the plants with soil balls out of the flowerpot, cut off the leaves above the ground, trim the roots to about 5cm, and then divide them into about 30 buds. Stipa tenuifolia has strong resistance to pests and diseases, and few pests and diseases occur.
