The current situation and future of calligraphy education

At present, there are very few schools in our country that actually carry out calligraphy classes. The reason is simply that they don’t pay attention to it, and the second reason is the lack of calligraphy teachers. The training institutions in society are mixed, and parents don't pay enough attention to them, which leads to a gap in calligraphy education. Calligraphers do not pass on the work to the next generation, they are only busy trying to gain fame and make money. This is the status quo.

How to crack?

The first is recruitment, and the second is decentralization.

Schools at all levels recruit local celebrities and training class teachers into the campus and hire them as full-time teachers. The salary must be higher than that of school teachers, so that they can teach with peace of mind and free them from worries, so as to attract others to come and teach. .

The so-called decentralization means that calligraphy associations at all levels organize members to enter campuses. Those who can write may not necessarily be able to teach. This does not necessarily mean they are better than teachers in training classes, and their posture must be lowered.

One of the difficulties:

The teaching effect of large classrooms is definitely not as good as that of small classrooms in training classes. One-on-one tutoring effects and time issues, classroom discipline incentives, etc.

Difficulty No. 2:

How can we teach with peace of mind if we do not receive the same income as training classes and do not enjoy the same treatment as public teachers? This requires the attention and support of the Education Committee and the school!

Difficulty No. 3:

Normal colleges at all levels should increase the intensity of calligraphy training for teachers. It will also take several years before they can embark on the road of calligraphy education. This shows that the current gap in calligraphy is quite severe.
