Cultural Construction of Lizifang Town

Lizifang Town, zhuanghe city, Liaoning Province is located at the junction of Dalian and Dandong, and is known as the East Gate of Dalian. With a land area of 23 1.7 square kilometers, it governs 20 administrative villages with 1.6 million households and a population of 58,000, making it the largest town in zhuanghe city. The superior geographical location has bred splendid folk culture, talented people come forth in large numbers, grassroots activities are active, and people's enthusiasm for participating in cultural and sports activities is high. Since 2002, under the guidance of the Town Cultural Station, five folk cultural associations, namely modern folk painting, calligraphy, paper-cutting, folk literature and art and couplets, have been established successively. Grassroots cultural work has carried out various activities through the participation of these five associations. The following will be introduced separately:

Modern folk painting (also known as peasant painting), calligraphy and paper-cutting belong to the category of folk art and will be introduced together. The folk art of Chestnut House developed earlier, with a broad mass base, especially folk painting, which rose in the 1980s and drew lessons from the folk art styles such as paper-cutting, cloth art, embroidery and dough sculpture. On this basis, it incorporates the style of modern painting and is unique in modern folk painting in China. Folk painters use simple brushes to describe the colorful world around them. Some professional painters in the city were surprised to see these works and praised them for being so cute and having a sense of life. From 65438 to 0992, Zhuanghe was named "the hometown of modern folk painting in China" by the Ministry of Culture. At the same time, Chestnut House was named as the only folk painting base in Dalian. In 2006, Zhuanghe Modern Folk Art Exhibition was held in China Art Museum. More than 80 works on display, more than half of which are from chestnut house. In previous national, provincial and citizen painting competitions, more than 100 people won prizes, more than 30 works were collected by various art institutions such as China Folk Research Institute, and more than 500 works were published in various magazines and newspapers.

Calligraphy is another highlight of Lijia folk art, with many fans and diligent research. Xia Lin 'an, a retired teacher, has a high level of calligraphy accomplishment and is full of peaches and plums. 1997 the national writing education on-the-spot meeting was held in chestnut house, which was widely praised. Tang Zhen is a writer who is good at cursive script, and studied under Zhang Xu and Huai Su. His works are flying while the dragon and the phoenix dance, and his brushwork is vigorous. Their works have won many awards in domestic competitions. Folk paper-cutting is the only national intangible cultural heritage in zhuanghe city, and Chestnut House is an important paper-cutting base. The works of old paper-cut artists such as Yang Chuanhao and Pan are ingenious. Wang is an old teacher, who not only has a high level of personal paper-cutting, but also trained a large number of paper-cutting pupils, some of whom have been admitted to art colleges. Lizifang Town is the best unit of Zhuanghe previous paper-cutting competitions, and its individual award-winning achievements are among the best in the city.

The folk writers and artists association has the largest number and the widest participation among the five associations. Yangko is an important position in rural cultural construction and has a broad mass base. All the 20 administrative villages in the town have yangko teams, and some villages with good economic conditions also have their own teams. Town Cultural Station often organizes yangko teams to participate in various celebrations in zhuanghe city, which is called "Little Yellow Braids" of Chestnut House by Zhuanghe yangko circle (yangko performances often use yellow cloth to tie two small braids). In 2005, he won the bronze medal in Dalian Zhongshan Cup Yangko Competition. Oriental Hongxiang Cultural Complex is an excellent cultural complex in Dalian, which was built under the organization of retired mayor Zhang Yongsheng. Now there are more than 20 members who often train and perform in the village. Nan Li Qi Band is another performance group organized this year. They all perform for the masses all the year round, which greatly enlivens the cultural life in rural areas.

With the concern of the city couplets association and the town leaders, the couplets association was established at the end of 2007, and currently has 24 members. Among them, Lin Huiying, an 84-year-old man, works in various couplets newspapers and periodicals all over the country. He is a leader in Zhuanghe couplets and is known as a "farmer sinologist". Although he is old, his enthusiasm for his career has not diminished. Under his guidance, a number of new associates such as Kong Xiancheng and Yu emerged, and their works often won prizes in various competitions across the country. The town's self-edited tabloid has been published in two issues, which has been well received by Wang Xinbo, president of Dalian Couplet Society, and has been spread in other places as a sample. Now we are preparing for the third issue.
