ask about
1, depending on the hall number and name.
Draw the hall number or name on the back of the pot body or lid, and you can identify the hall, who, when and where the pot is out.
The famous iron pot will cost a lot, just like the famous brand now.
There are also some very old iron pots. At the beginning of the Edo period, iron pots didn't have any autographs, but their craftsmanship, modeling and materials were also excellent, and they were also very good collections.
2. Special models will do.
The unique shape of Japanese old iron pots fully shows the understanding, attitude and mentality of pot owners about some contemporary things.
Master pot makers make pots into houses, wells, landscapes, animals, fruits and vegetables. And use them to express their feelings, giving them deeper feelings, unique spirituality and beauty.
This special-shaped old iron pot is easy to be appreciated and accepted by Tibetans and belongs to a fine collection.
3, body display skills
The pot bodies of the old iron pot museum have their own characteristics, either * * * thick or exquisite and simple.
Generally, Yasunosuke, Zhengping, Zang and other six pots have no names, but as long as people who are proficient in this field can see it at a glance, this is probably the charm of the exquisite craftsmanship of the masters.
When collecting, we should pay special attention to the maintenance of the bottom of the pot, see the thickness of the bottom of the pot, whether there is water leakage, whether there is rust and so on.
The thickness of the bottom of the pot can be slightly scratched by hand to listen to the sound. Generally, if the bottom is intact, the sound will be thick and deep, and if the bottom is thin, the sound will be slightly frivolous.
4, hanging beam need to stand up straight.
Many kettle masters will put the gold and silver files on the hanging beams and carve them carefully; There are many copper or silver handles on the iron pot, which greatly shows the luxury and preciousness of the pot.
No matter what kind of hanging beam, it must be straight to look good.
Don't break the handle at will on weekdays. If the handle is loose and can't stand upright, it will affect the appearance and greatly reduce the value of the iron pot.
5, spout to see the scale
The spout is also called the spout. Some old pots that have been used for more than a hundred years will form thick scales after repeated use, which can be used as a reference for dating old pots.
The spout must have a smooth flow of water and be decisive in cutting off water.
Some spouts are damaged, so generally don't care. Just insert the spout with gold, silver and copper.
A good pot mouth looks beautiful from the side and matches the pot body very well. The top of the mouth should be as high as the top of the pot, so that the water in the pot will not overflow from the mouth of the pot prematurely.
6. The lid has something to say.
There will be air holes in the lid of silver pots, but it is rare in iron pot, so the lid of iron pot should not be as tight as a teapot.
Many pots and pans are not made at the same time. Since Longwentang, the covers of many iron pots are made of copper, which avoids the trouble of steam rust.
The lid of the iron pot is very particular. A good pot must be equipped with an original lid, especially the lid of a famous pot maker, which is perfectly combined with the pot body.
Some pot masters will carve their own paintings or inlay their favorite patterns on the front of the pot cover, and some pots will make two or more pot covers.
7. Remove the button and make the finishing touch.
A delicate and elegant button can not only add beauty, but also identify famous iron pots through it.
Many pot masters will go all out to make buttons, especially famous masters or famous pot masters. Every time they make a pot, they will work hard on the small buttons.
The button of the iron pot should be turned flexibly by hand.
8. Earring payment
Each jar must have a pair of matching rings.
Traditionally, the shapes of Fu Huan are mostly ghost faces or unknown animals, as well as plants, animals, cultural relics and things.
Guiwentang's brave ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring.
9, gold and silver inlaid icing on the cake
Many old Japanese iron pots have designs inlaid with precious metals such as gold, silver and copper on their bodies, handles and lids. This design increases the artistry of the iron pot, but it is also much more expensive, far exceeding the price of the original pot in the iron pot.
10, pot body pattern appreciation
Many old Japanese iron pots will have patterns cast by seiko, which is very creative. Most plants and animals you know and see can be used as patterns on flowerpots.
These beautiful patterns add a lot of luster to the pot body and are loved by everyone.
Of course, there are also high-quality iron pots, which have no patterns at all, are simple and elegant, and are extremely beautiful.
On the iron pot at the entrance of Guiwentang and other halls, there are exquisite and changeable relief patterns that express humanities, landscapes and scenery.
The pots in Yasunosuke are simple and elegant, while those in Shoulang, a great country, are dominated by poems, flowers and birds.
1 1, the smell of Chinese characters on the pot body
Due to the deep-rooted influence of China culture, China's calligraphy, painting and tea culture are reflected in many Japanese old iron pots, and the written content mostly appears in poems, philosophy of life and aphorisms.
If you look closely, you can find that the hall number and the owner's logo on the pot body or lid are also signed in Chinese characters.
12, casting method depends on quantity.
There are roughly three casting methods for iron pots. One is dewaxing, just like bronze casting in China in Han Dynasty. There is only one pot of this method in the world, which is particularly precious and can be regarded as a treasure of collection.
Followed by sand casting method, there will be a small umbilical hole on both sides of the umbilical hole at the bottom of the pot, which is the vent hole left during casting and easy to identify.
Third, high-strength die casting method, there is a mold closing line left by casting at the middle boundary of the pot body, and multiple pots can be formed at one time, no matter how delicate and complicated the shape and pattern are, the price of this pot is still not high, generally between several thousand yuan and 20 thousand yuan.
