Impressions of Hangzhou you may not know

The first time I came to Hangzhou was in 2008. At that time, I asked my friend: If you wanted to have both the convenience of the city and the beauty of the countryside, which city would you choose to settle in? He said without hesitation: Hangzhou.

I didn’t quite believe it that day. Later, when I traveled throughout the city, I finally understood his reason.

The memories of many years ago have drifted away in the wind. Many years later, I took my parents to Hangzhou. When my mother saw the people walking by the West Lake, she sighed: The people here are so happy. When visiting Santan Yinyue, my father smiled like a child: This is the place on the one yuan!

During this vacation, I went to Hangzhou again. I can’t remember how many times I went there, but just like the motto of the Nile River, if you drink the water of the Nile River, you will definitely come back. Hangzhou has this kind of magic that always makes people miss it.

There are people coming and going around the West Lake, and there will be all kinds of interesting people.

This time I saw less natural scenery. Instead, I visited the museums by the West Lake, the Former Residence of Sha Menghai and the Former Residence of Lian Yatang, which were also very interesting.

I randomly took photos of two works by Takesoho in the museum.

I personally like it very much. I feel that the flowers are floating and elegant. Although there are only a few strokes, they are full of interest.

Wu Jiezhai (1867-1945) was born in Zengbao and Kuchan, and was born in Laojiaoshan, Hangzhou. He lived in Huaishang for a long time and returned to Hangzhou later in life. He is good at coloring flowers with thick brush strokes, which is similar to Wu Changshuo, but different from his originality.

The introduction next to the work is consistent with the Baidu results. At that time, I was confused, where is Huaishang? I found out that it is Huaishang District in Bengbu, Anhui Province.

As for Mr. Sha Menghai, you can study it carefully here.

Sha Menghai (1900-1992) was born in Zhejiang. A leading figure in calligraphy in the 20th century. He has extensive research in language, literature and history, archeology, calligraphy, seal cutting, etc. He once served as professor of the Chinese Department of Zhejiang University, professor of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, president of Xiling Seal Society, president of Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Institute, honorary director of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, and vice chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.

Xiling Seal Society was founded in the 30th year of Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1904), with Wu Changshuo as the first president. The purpose is to "preserve epigraphy and stone, study seals, and also engage in calligraphy and painting". It is a folk art group that studies seals, calligraphy and painting with the longest history, the highest achievements and the most extensive international influence in the study of gold, stone and seal carving at home and abroad. It has the reputation of "the first famous society in the world".

Mr. Sha Menghai serves as the fourth president of Xiling Seal Society. Some people say that in terms of achievements in seal studies alone, Mr. Sha has made the greatest achievements among all previous presidents.

In addition to seal studies, Mr. Sha is also a master of calligraphy. Visiting his former residence and learning about his life show his rigorous attitude towards excellence in learning.

I randomly excerpted a few works, which even a layman admires.

Finally, we visited the former residence of Lian Yatang.

Lian Heng, courtesy name Yatang, was born in Tainan, Taiwan. He is the author of "General History of Taiwan" and is known as "the first person in Taiwanese culture". At the same time, he is also Lien Chan's grandfather.

The character relationship diagram is drawn as follows:

Lian Zhendong is the only son and eldest son of Lian Yatang, and Lien Zhan is the only son of Lian Zhendong.

Shen Ao is the eldest daughter of Shen Hongjie, a prominent family in Tainan. Shen Hongjie is a listed figure in the general history of Taiwan.

Zhao Lankun is the sister of economist Zhao Lanping. Zhao Lanping served as a consultant to the Central Bank.

In addition, I checked relevant information. First of all, the Lian family must be a famous family, but the rapid economic growth began with Lian Zhendong's generation, because his wife Zhao Lankun was very economically minded and actively carried out Financial management activities focus on the fields of real estate and stock investment. His son Lien Chan has also inherited the fine tradition in this area, and his investment philosophy is "governing by doing nothing", which in layman's terms is long-term.

But how much money does the Lian family have? It is said that NT$15-20 billion is equivalent to between NT$3.2-4.3 billion in RMB. However, in 2005, the Hurun Research Institute released a ranking of the world's richest people, showing that Lien Chan had a net worth of approximately HK$7.8 billion (approximately RMB 6.1 billion). Ranked 1911th globally. The Hurun Research Institute stated that Lien Chan is "the first Taiwanese politician to enter the global wealth field." Later, due to protests from staff, the Hurun Research Institute issued an apology statement. Some people said that the calculation of this statistics had the wrong decimal point.

So how rich is the Lian family? Still a mystery. But no matter what, it is still worthy of admiration by civilians like us.

I hope to continue to understand and write about the rise and fall of these famous families in the future.

Thanks for reading, it would be even better if you could leave a like.
