Fu Baoshi (1904- 1965), 1904, 10 was born in Nanchang. He is a famous painter, art history researcher and painting theorist in modern China. When he was young, he suffered a lot, worked as an apprentice in a porcelain shop and repaired an umbrella. He loved China's traditional calligraphy, painting and seal cutting very much and taught himself. You Chongshi Tao, an innovator of landscape painting in Qing Dynasty, 192 1 was admitted to Jiangxi No.1 Normal University, and was named as "Fu Baoshi, the owner of Baoshizhai", from which he embarked on the art road. 1933, Fu Baoshi entered the research department of Imperial Japanese Art School in Tokyo, and soon became famous as "four talents" in painting, writing, calligraphy and printing, especially in landscape painting. From June 65438 to July 0935, he taught in the Art Department of Nanjing Central University. After the founding of New China, Fu Baoshi served as a professor of art history in the Art Department of Nanjing Normal University, and successively served as the chairman of Jiangsu Branch of China Artists Association and the president of Jiangsu Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting.

In his early years, Fu Baoshi made a long-cherished wish of "reading thousands of books and traveling on Wan Li Road". He devoted his whole life to the study of traditional theories and techniques of Chinese painting, and was good at drawing lessons from and absorbing the strengths of painting art from all over the world. He used China's unique ink painting form to write the life rhythm of nature, portray the spiritual charm of characters, and integrate his strong feelings of loving his hometown, motherland and Chinese culture. From Xiaoxiao Muyu and Di Caotang in Bashan and Shushui in the 1930s and 1940s, to the figure paintings Qu Yuan, The Map of Two Towns and Er Er Lu, which were concerned about the country and the people, and then to the series of New Scenery of Mountains and Rivers created by Jiangsu national painters in the 1950s and 1960s, they led them on a journey of 23,000 miles to six provinces. As well as "Flying Spring on the Mirror", "White Mountain Merrill Lynch" and "Flying in the Green" created by traveling to the three northeastern provinces, and the huge Chinese painting "Jiangshan is so proud" created by Guan Shanyue for the tenth anniversary of the National Day, all reflect strong creativity, unique nationality and distinct sense of the times. Fu Baoshi created more than 3,000 Chinese paintings in his life, and held joint exhibitions with Guo Moruo, Xu Beihong and Chen Zhifo. Xu Beihong commented that Fu Baoshi's brand-new landscape paintings have made "the cautious landscape in the past 300 years show its dwarfing state". Zhang Daqian said that he created a new style of figure painting that China has never had in a thousand years.

Fu Baoshi has been engaged in the education and research of art history and painting theory for a long time, and has made great achievements in his life.
