Fan Zedeng

Fan Zedeng, a famous Hong Kong painter. Born in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province in 1926. Settled in Hong Kong in 1949. Now ninety-one years old. Fan Zideng, courtesy name infant. Male, born in 1926, from Sucheng District, Suqian City, now lives in Hong Kong. He is a famous Chinese painter at home and abroad.

He began to learn painting at the age of 8. At the age of 12, he became a teacher of Dongtai painter Sun Shoushi. Later, he studied at the private Lize Traditional Chinese Painting Academy run by Li Fenggong in Guangdong Province. Graduated from the school in 1946. He settled in Hong Kong in 1949 and founded "Yongcui Painting Academy" and "Fun Yin Painting Society" successively. He became famous in the Hong Kong painting circle in the 1960s and was known as an all-round painter. In the 1980s, he was known as a master of freehand painting.

Fan Zedeng is currently the president of the Hong Kong International Federation of Artists. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in fine arts by the European Association of Higher Education Institutions for his special maturity. He is an honorary professor and library consultant of the Fine Arts Department of Shaanxi Normal University, and a Hong Kong Chinese poetry scholar. Honorary President of the World Alliance, consultant of the Chinese Calligraphy Art Research Institute, consultant of the Hong Kong Hongli Painting and Calligraphy Association, and senior academician of the Li Keran Art Research Association of Peking University, China.

Artistic Characteristics

He learned from Zhang Daqian in painting, and is good at the mixed painting method of splashing ink and splashing color. Shaanxi Normal University appointed him as a visiting professor in the Art Department, and set up a "Fan Zideng Exhibition Room" in the school as a learning platform for students. During this period, he also visited his hometown of Suqian, gathered with people from the city's literary and artistic circles at the Municipal Cultural Center, and held lectures.
