The following are the handwritten newspaper materials with the theme of Kite Festival that I compiled for you. I hope it will be helpful to you!
The origin of the International Kite Festival
In May 1983, at the China Export Commodity Fair held in Shanghai, Weifang Gongmei was invited to perform 28 Weifang kites, which attracted attention at home and abroad. The audience's attention. Especially the 50-meter-long dragon-headed centipede kite is even more amazing. At that time, Mr. David Chikler, chairman of the Seattle Kite Association of the United States, who went to Shanghai to attend the trade fair, was deeply impressed by the kites in Weifang. After the meeting, he made a special trip to Weifang to order a batch of kites to take back to the United States. It was precisely this close contact between David Chikler and Weifang that unexpectedly pushed Weifang Kite onto another international stage.
Support of David Chikley
On September 6, 1983, David Chikley and his wife came to Weifang for the second time. He said that he has been to Beijing, Tianjin, Weifang and Nantong, the four major kite producing areas in China, and Weifang kites are the best! After he praised Weifang kites, he mentioned that he was considering holding an international kite festival in his hometown of Seattle. This time he came to listen to the opinions of Weifang artists on how to organize this kite festival. When the time comes, he will invite Weifang Gongmei organized a kite team to participate. At that time, Sun Lirong, who was working at the Weifang Gongmei Kite Research Institute, thought over and over again that since David Chikler was so interested in Weifang kites and the Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau planned to hold a kite show in Weifang the next year, why not seize the opportunity to also do it in Weifang? Hold an international kite festival? After Sun Lirong expressed to David Checkley the actual situation of the difficulty of Weifang's artists from traveling to the United States to attend the conference, he proposed the idea of ??holding an International Kite Festival in Weifang. "Weifang Kite represents the top level in the world. If Weifang Kite cannot go to Seattle to participate in the kite competition, then my kite competition will lose the meaning of holding it." Speaking of this, David Chekelie said solemnly: " For the sake of friendship among the world’s kite artists, Weifang should hold an international kite festival. I support you in hosting the International Kite Festival!”
After it was confirmed that the International Kite Festival will be held in Weifang, Sun Lirong and others met with David Chikler. Negotiations continued, and it was finally decided that the first Weifang International Kite Festival would be held in Weifang during the Qingming Festival in April 1984.
On April 1, 1984 (the third day of the third lunar month), the first Weifang International Kite Festival officially opened and lasted for ten days. 18 teams with 185 people from 11 countries and regions including the United States, Japan (three groups), Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the Federal Republic of Germany, and Hong Kong performed a flying performance with the Weifang Gongmei Kite Performance Team. There are more than 70 kinds of kites flying on the field, which have been praised by audiences from all over the world. This is the first international event with a kite theme held in our country. It has attracted widespread attention at home and abroad, with more than 300 participants from news organizations around the world.

Establishing the status as a kite capital
It is really a step forward to make the world a brighter future. The unprecedented success of the first Weifang International Kite Festival demonstrated the great changes in the concepts, thoughts and behaviors of Weifang people. Since then, an International Kite Festival has been held in Weifang City in early April every year. The scale is getting larger and larger, the specifications are getting higher and higher, and the content is getting richer and richer. On April 1, 1988, the 5th Weifang International Kite Festival was held as scheduled. 21 kite representatives from 14 countries and regions participated in the conference. In addition to the kite flying competition, the World Kite Competition is also an important part of this conference. At 10 a.m. on April 1, David Chikler, chairman of the Seattle Wind Association of the United States, read out the "Proposal to Propose Weifang as the "Kite Capital of the World"" at the meeting. Weifang was chosen by the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Italy and other countries. Well-known figures in the kite industry elected it as the International Kite Capital and began preparations to establish the International Kite Federation - the first international sports organization initiated and organized by my country and headquartered in China.

Composition on the Kite Festival
The Kite Festival is here. Early in the morning, I brought my milk, school bag and chocolate and couldn't wait to prepare to go to Huaqiao Middle School. Along the way, everyone was talking and laughing, not to mention how happy they were!
When I arrived at Huaqiao Middle School, after the teacher gave me a kite, my father and I started assembling the kite. Let’s start flying kites! When I first picked up the kite, my father shouted: "You don't know it, I'll teach you!" I thought: Huh, you really know it? If you know how, I can still fly into the sky. So, I didn’t care about anything else and just let it go.
As my father expected, I can’t fly a kite. Why does the kite stay stuck to the ground? Alas, I can only ask my dad for advice: "Dad, teach me how to fly a kite!" Dad took the kite with a smile. I saw that my tall dad was more naughty than a two or three-year-old child. He held the kite in his hand and flew quickly. Run forward and let go with gusto.
It’s time for me to fly a kite! Hard work pays off. I practiced several times with success, and the kite flew higher and higher, flying freely in the sky like an eagle. I looked at the flying kites and felt so happy!
This is my kite festival, what about yours?
Composition on the Kite Festival
The children came back early from school and were busy taking advantage of the east wind to fly kites. "In the warm April, we took the carefully prepared kites to the grassland north of the school to start the annual Kite Festival.
We came to the grassland, and several professional teachers had already put them on the grassland. The kite flew into the sky. Look, how majestic the dragon is: it has two hard and mighty dragon horns on its head, two piercing eyes as big as ping pong balls, and its big mouth is open. Two rows of sharp teeth. As the grandfather's hands danced, the dragon also circled and danced in the sky, rising and falling, as if it was really alive, soaring freely in the sky.
Professional teacher. After the "performance", it was the turn of our group of primary school students. The competition slowly began with a burst of cheers. The breeze carried the expectations of the students and sent the kite up into the sky: Look, how domineering that eagle is, it is hovering in the sky. Sometimes it rises and falls, sometimes it glides, sometimes it rises, sometimes it dives. Its brown-black eyes are staring at the ground, as if looking for prey. Its golden-black feathers shine in the sun, and its two pointed claws shine with cold light. It is extremely sharp, it is the king of the sky, flying freely. Look, that cute puppy has also put on its "wings" and flew up into the blue sky. It does not rise and fall like the eagle, but it just goes up steadily. Climbing up, he soon became as high as the eagle and became the master of the sky. Look at the triangle fish dragging its long tail. It was bumping hard in the air, as if it would slide down if you pulled it lightly. The strong wind blew, and the fish fell quickly to the ground. I couldn't help but get worried for the classmate who was flying the triggerfish, but the classmate was very calm. He didn't lose heart, picked up the kite again, and started running against the wind. After a while, the triangle fish flew into the sky again, and I breathed a sigh of relief and silently gave him a thumbs up for his persistence.
It was time for the students to fly freely. Beloved kites: There are beautiful butterflies, cute kittens, naughty little monkeys, and handsome black cat sheriffs... A gust of wind blew, and we ran into the wind. The colorful kites slowly flew into the sky. The sky is extraordinarily beautifully decorated.
Looking at the kite flying higher and higher, we become more and more excited, hoping that it will carry our dreams on a long voyage!
Kite Festival! Composition
On May Day, my parents and I came to a square. There were many people in this square, and they were all here to participate in the kite festival.
The Kite Festival started, and the teacher gave each of us a kite, some paints and a paintbrush. Other classes have their own class requirements, and ours also has requirements for our composition class. The poem is paired with painting.
I wrote the poem "Looking at Tianmen Mountain" by Li Bai first and then the whole poem.
p>I started to draw. First I drew two mountains, and then I drew a few trees on the mountains. Then I drew a river, and then I drew a boat on the river, and on the boat Man, then Li Bai.
I started coloring, and I painted green, but I finished painting all the green, but there was still a mountain that was not painted, so I borrowed green paint and then gave my color to Finished.
After drawing the kite, we played parent-child games again. Our first game was hug group, and I was eliminated in the fifth round.
When I got to the second game, I finished it in a while, but because the person in front moved me, I lost.
This time’s Kite Festival is really fun!
Kite Festival Composition
Last Sunday afternoon, our Happy Rubik’s Cube class went to the park to fly kites. We first played games for a while, then painted the kites, and finally we put the colorful kites Put it in the sky.
The game we play is a parent-child game. One parent takes one child, and there are six people in a team, which means there are three families. There are two teams in total. This game is to tie their legs to Together, whichever team goes from one end to the other first and returns to the starting point is considered a victory. Everyone in the winning team can get a small gift.
After playing the game we started painting the kite. Our kites came in all kinds of weird ways. The kite I drew had a goldfish pattern on it. After drawing the kite, we had half an hour to paint the kite with our favorite color.
After we finished painting the kite, we flew the kite into the sky. The kite in the sky danced in the air like a bird and butterfly. It was very beautiful!
The last session was the group session. We took a photo together, and everyone’s smiles were as sweet as candy.
I am very happy at this Kite Festival!
