China Tang Song Liao Dynasty Characters

In the Tang and Song Dynasties, the fonts of China characters were mature, and the historical evolution process from Oracle Bone Inscriptions to running script was completed. In the Tang Dynasty, regular script developed greatly, and famous calligraphers such as Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ouyang Xun, and Chu Suiliang appeared. They were all masters of regular script, especially Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan, whose fonts were unique, which was called Yan Jinliu in history. In the Tang Dynasty, the famous cursive fonts were Zhang Xu and Huai Su monks. In the Song Dynasty, there was a great development in running script, with Song Sijia represented by running script in the Northern Song Dynasty: Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Mi Fei and Cai Xiang.

Liao was founded by the Khitans. When Emperor Mao of Liao Dynasty was emperor, he successively created the Khitan characters and the Khitan characters according to the Chinese characters in the Central Plains. The degree of sinicization in Liao Dynasty was very high, and other fonts of Han nationality were also popular in Liao Dynasty.
