Examples of methods and skills of practicing calligraphy with strokes

What is a pen?

In calligraphy, stopping the pen refers to a skill of using the pen, and it is a method of pressing the pen to the right in the process of lifting the pen.

Calligraphy theory used a soft pen as a hard pen and simplified it on this basis, so the action of pressing the pen to the right in coins is often called a stroke.

How to write a pen?

Pen direction: lower right

The pen needs to stop a little, not too soft.

The pen should not be too long.

What kind of strokes do you want?

When we write everyday, the pen tip often points to the left front, and when we put pen to paper, we often volley down and press the pen from left to right.

When the starting direction of the pen is inconsistent with the moving direction of the line pen, you can pause the pen. For example, horizontal, vertical, left, lift and other swimming strokes and their combinations.

A stroke that does not require a stroke.

When starting and writing, the pen is lifted down to the right, and there is no need to adjust the direction of the pen tip by pausing, and there is no need to stop the pen.

For example:

Right point, draw, lie hook, bend hook and so on.

Special case: generally short strokes don't need pens.
