Yang means yes in ancient times.
Yang De can be divided into eight categories: filial piety (filial piety), filial piety (brotherhood), loyalty (loyalty to friends), faithfulness (keeping reputation), courtesy (treating others with courtesy), righteousness (affection and righteousness), sincerity (not doing wrong or dirty things) and shame (defining what is shame).
Yang De, in today's words, has a high emotional intelligence and is very particular about doing things. For example, filial piety to parents is well known. But filial piety is not ignorance or obedience.
For example, if you marry a wife, but your parents don't like her, they always find fault with your daughter-in-law. So what should real filial piety do? Didn't you divorce your wife because your parents didn't like it? Of course not, that's ignorance and low emotional intelligence. True filial piety should be to coordinate the relationship between parents and wives, talk more about each other's benefits, make both sides happy, and gradually eliminate barriers.
