Buddhism and Taoism in Wujiang Museum
The "Sound of Bells and Drums" Buddhist and Taoist Calligraphy Exhibition jointly sponsored by Wujiang Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, Literary Federation and Buddhist Association was grandly opened in Wujiang Museum. Jiang Ruijuan, Deputy Director of Municipal People's Congress, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and Qian Helin, Minister of United Front Work Department of Wujiang Municipal Committee attended the opening ceremony. The poems exhibited in this exhibition were collected by more than 20 members of Wujiang Qiulu Poetry Society in various Buddhist and Taoist religious activities, and more than 90 works were created by nearly 50 outstanding calligraphers of national and provincial calligraphers' associations, including Qian Huifen. It is a grand gathering of Wujiang literary and art circles and Buddhism and Taoism circles, and it is also a bright sword to show the charm of contemporary Wujiang religious culture calligraphy. In the works on display, Wujiang religious culture calligraphy incorporates many new teaching ideas, new aesthetic consciousness and new artistic expression language, and the works are more academic and forward-looking. The calligraphy exhibition is expected to be held in Wujiang Museum until March, and then it will be exhibited in various Buddhist venues in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of the reopening of Wujiang Buddhism and Taoism.
