Does Wang have anything to do with Wang Xizhi, a "book saint"?

Wang Hao, a famous minister in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher known as the "Book Sage", are both celebrities in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and they share a common hobby in calligraphy. So, is there a relationship between Wang Tanzhi and Wang Xizhi?

Later, some researchers speculated that Wang He and Wang Xizhi were brothers of the same family. However, as long as we make in-depth textual research, we will know that there is no direct connection between the two.

Wang Tanzhi was born in 330 AD, 27 years younger than Wang Xizhi, that is to say, the relationship between the two cousins is almost zero. Besides, Wang is a descendant of King Taiyuan, and Wang Xizhi's home is also quite famous. Therefore, from the point of family background, Wang Tanzhi and Wang Xizhi can't be relatives. What is related between them is nothing more than their birth in the same dynasty and their interest in calligraphy art.

Although Wang He and Wang Xizhi are not related by blood, there are indications that they both served as officials and assisted in North Korea, which may be another origin between them.

Wang Xizhi once served as a literature and history officer in Huiji. In the eleventh year of Yonghe, Wang Xizhi resigned from his office because he was ashamed of living under Wang Shu.

Wang Xizhi was as famous as Wang Shu. Before that, he said to his sons, "I don't want to lose my ancestors, but I am in danger, so you can't wait for honesty!" " "Huaizu" here refers to Wang Shu, and "Tan Zhi" of course refers to Wang Tan Zhi, Wang Shu's son. It can be seen that in Wang Xizhi's eyes, Wang is a junior colleague, and there is no doubt that the two have known each other.

Why Wang Xizhi said this and why he did it is unknown, but it can be seen from this passage that Wang Xizhi's son and Wang Shu's son Wang Tanzhi are contemporaries.
