The first destruction: the new culture movement The new culture movement is undoubtedly a great change in the history of human development. The new idea of "ancestors and science" has greatly abolished all ancient, traditional and national things, including classical Chinese and Chinese characters.

My history is not good. I probably know that classical Chinese has been replaced by vernacular Chinese. At that time, I learned that there was another view that Chinese characters should be abolished and Latin should be used.

Then, in this case, new talents are the most fashionable and revolutionary. And in the shadow of this radical revolution, how many people will persevere in calligraphy, a traditional thing? In addition, Lao Kang's suppressed posts and monuments have not yet declined, and the New Culture Movement and People's Guo have been in such a long time since liberation. Obviously, China's calligraphy has been changed from a "new" thing to an "old" thing.

The second destruction: contemporary calligraphy exhibition. This topic is not intended to attack China Book Association or any organization.

I'm just saying that exhibition, an exotic product, has undoubtedly played a positive role in promoting contemporary calligraphy after it entered China, especially after it was grafted on calligraphy. However, crazy exhibitions and carpet-style exhibition bombing have also made all calligraphers crazy and impetuous. At the same time, the only purpose of learning calligraphy is to participate in exhibitions and join societies.

Based on this problem, calligraphers did not dig deep into ancient classics, and the orientation and mentality of calligraphy creation deviated from the direction. The calligraphy creation of quick success and instant benefit has caused the extreme impetuousness of contemporary calligraphy and formed the second destruction.

Nowadays, calligraphy is no longer an art of self-cultivation, a noble national art or a culture, but a tool for making money and profiteering. This kind of destruction is unprecedented-because prosperity covers it up!

When the ancients saw the works in the exhibition and saw that some calligraphers in China didn't even understand the basic skills of center and wing, I felt that the ancients were going to cry!
