Crescent Bay, also known as Half Moon Bay, is located at the northernmost tip of North Changshan Island in Penglai District, naturally forming a crescent beach about 2000 meters long, named after the shape of the bay.
It is backed by green mountains and green fields, with blue seas and blue waves, and a long silver-white boulder beach is embedded between green mountains and clear waters, just like a crescent moon in the deep night sky.
Introduction of scenic spots
Yueyawan, Penglai District, Yantai
Step into the crescent bay, step by step, clanging, as if entering the silver mottled moon palace. Touch the bead stone with your hand, one is exquisite and smart, and the other is crystal clear. There are many natural patterns on the stone: vibrant Gu Song, gorgeous maple leaves, furry birds, climbing macaques, a cloud and a flower ... vivid, vivid, exciting and touching. There are many bays in the world, but only one long beach is "white as jade and crystal clear as amber", which is really a gem-like pebble world.
The clear water in the embrace of Crescent Bay is as blue as agate and as clear as a mirror. It's tempting to jump into the sea and hold it in your arms. When the wind is high and the waves are urgent, the bay is full of jade, and Yin Xue is fluttering; Wan Li is comfortable, handsome and charming when the sky is clear. For thousands of years, the sea has polished and decorated this coast with beautiful hearts and beautiful hands. Fishing villages in the scenic area sing in the evening, and the forest is full of flowers. The long street night market, Guanlan Pavilion and picnic base provide tourists with special projects such as watching the sea, swimming in the sea, eating seafood and experiencing fishermen's life. The nearest village to Crescent Bay Scenic Area is Songqian Village, which is the earliest village in Long Island to develop fisherman's music tourism projects. Marshal Ye Jianying and Zhao Puchu both wrote poems about Crescent Bay. In the poem, the famous calligrapher Mr. Qi Gong sang: "A crescent moon prints the beach, and the water is green. Wonderland does not need to seek things, and pedestrians step on the pearl step by step. "
Yueyawan scenery
Crescent Bay, named after the crescent-shaped bay, is a natural bathing beach with a beach stretching over 1000 meters. Crescent beach is a rare gravel beach in China. Beach pebbles are formed by crustal movement and surface uplift, which causes rocks on nearby mountains to fall off. The stone is placed on the curved beach, and gradually becomes round after endless scouring and sharpening by the waves. Quartzite is mixed with impurities such as iron, manganese and zinc, so it presents various colors. Main attractions: Seal Garden, Ocean Amusement Park and colored pebbles.
