Why did calligraphy decline in the late Qing Dynasty?

Since Daoguang, the Qing Dynasty has entered its period of decline, with its national power declining sharply and internal and external troubles coming one after another. The aggression of the Western powers continued one after another and became increasingly stronger. Civil wars also occurred one after another and continued for a long time. In the 90 years of the late Qing Dynasty, there was almost nothing remarkable in terms of cultural construction.
