Eighteen Arhats was written by Yang Wentao, a painter in Qing Dynasty. This man surnamed Yang is very clever and can be said to be proficient in all the knowledge of a hundred schools in the world. He writes calligraphy, painting, poetry and articles, and no one can be picky. He can play the piano sword (often accompanied by a sword) and play all kinds of musical instruments. As far as this painting is concerned, his brushwork is meticulous and dignified, his colors are quaint, his gestures are different, and his expression is like a joke, which can be said to be vivid and realistic.
