The remains of Xiyan Lake, such as the book-drying platform, left the immortal works of the book saints in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Xiyan Lake, Daishutai and other sites left the immortal works of Wang Xizhi, the "book saint" of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. "Xiyan Lake" is located in Xiyan Lake Street, Linyi City, in the former residence of Wang Xizhi. The "book-drying platform" is located at the site of Wang's former residence in the southwest corner of the ancient city of Linyi, Shandong Province. According to legend, it is the place where Wang Xizhi, a calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, dried books.

Wang Xizhi's former residence is located at No.20, Xiyanhu Street, lanshan district, Linyi City. It is a classical garden-style building, a national key cultural relics protection unit, a key cultural relics protection unit in Shandong Province and a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Wang Xizhi's former residence was built in Langya County of Jin Dynasty (now lanshan district, Linyi City, Shandong Province). It is the place where scholar Wang Xizhi was born and lived. There are West Wild Goose Lake, Zhao Pu Temple, Liu Jibei, Yintai, Wang Youjun Temple, Zuogong Temple, Sibaotai, Wuxian Temple and Langya Academy. The "sunset red" in Wang Xizhi's former residence was once the first of the ancient "Eight Scenes of Langya" and was famous in Kyushu. Linyi municipal government renovated it on 1989, officially opened it to the public on 1990, and completed the expansion in 2003. As one of the top ten cultural festivals in China, Scholar Culture Festival enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.

In August, 2007, Wang Xizhi's former residence won the "Gold Award for the Most Potential Landscaping in China". In June 2007, it was rated as a national AAA-level tourist attraction. From 2065438 to September 2004, the creative research base of Peking University Calligraphy Art Research Institute was established in Wang Xizhi's former residence.
