Recently, I read a new book called "SiLi Method" of Sean's writing brush to practice calligraphy quickly. There are not many words in the book, and there is no long narrative. The content is not abstruse, but it is very enlightening after reading it. I have never heard of the method of practicing calligraphy in the book, and I feel suddenly enlightened. I can't help but sigh, if I had known this method of practicing calligraphy, my handwriting wouldn't be so bad now.
Sean did not stick to the rules, summed up the essence of predecessors' calligraphy, and created a new method to practice calligraphy quickly beyond traditional calligraphy, which he called "four-force method", that is, by skillfully practicing arm strength, wrist strength, finger strength and eyesight, he learned the combination of four forces, and the effect was amazing. The first three forces of the "Four Forces Method" are called external forces, and the eyesight is to practice internal forces, emphasizing "look carefully, remember, compare and analyze". His analysis of the stroke structure and brushwork style of Chinese characters can best reflect his originality, and the "four-point positioning method" of calligraphy characters is the core and the content I am most interested in. He wonderfully found out the highest point, lowest point, leftmost point and rightmost point in every Chinese character structure, including the anatomical analysis of the big four points and the small four points. The author dares to break the traditional pattern of fixed font structure layout in the grid. The squares I have seen are Tian Zige, Mi Zige and Gong Hui. In a word, practicing calligraphy is inseparable from the grid. I'm a loser who hasn't practiced in the grid. I used to think that since Chinese characters are all square, the fixed point of Chinese character structure should be at the four corners of the word. Only after reading "Four Points Positioning Method" can I understand the mystery of Chinese character structure in calligraphy. Knowing how to grasp the structure of Chinese characters makes me regain my confidence in practicing Chinese characters.
Let me tell you, a loser who is ready to give up.
If you just want to write better, you can practice running script directly.
There is no need to write first and then write. My friend's block letters are beautiful, but his block letters are not good, which proves everything best.
Remember to be absent-minded when practicing calligraphy, and remember that you are practicing calligraphy, not writing. Don't be restless. If you can't calm down, don't practice at all.
If you have a friend who writes beautifully, you can ask him to copy the copybook for you. Then you practice with his handwriting. Better take a ballpoint pen and copy it for him.
If you practice according to his words, you will certainly gain something in a few months.
