Zuogezhuang The Eight Ancient Scenic Spots
The eight ancient sceneries in Zuogezhuang Town have a long history. Except for the reconstruction and restoration of the Haichaoyuan Zen Temple, the others have become obsolete. Compiled by Mr. Guo Wanlu, a calligrapher from the ancient town, there were poems describing the eight ancient scenes of Zuogezhuang.
①Laomiao Jiahe
Laomiao Jiahe generally refers to the open area of ??Hehuakeng in the south of Fuxin Village, Zuogezhuang Town, which is about 1 mile long, reaching the north of the embankment and Haichaoyuan In front of it, it used to be a body of water where lotus roots were widely planted. In midsummer, the greenery is pure and fragrant, and the fragrance of lotus overflows. However, this green, pure and fragrant scenery can be condensed and displayed in the Lotus Pit. Therefore, it can also specifically refer to the lotus pit in front of Fuxing Village.
②Qingdang Reed
It is located in the north of Wanliu Jindi in Zuogezhuang, formerly known as Beiwa. In the old days, there was a large depression in the south of Zuogezhuang Town and a Daqing River in the north. The territory was also divided into river ditches and river branches. Perennial herbaceous plants such as grasshoppers and reeds are easy to grow on the waterside, and they grow most abundantly in the Daqing River.
③Huangdao Shengkou
It is located in the south of Zuogezhuang Town Square. According to the county annals of the Republic of China, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty settled here. He once visited Haichaoyuan and lived in the camp of Qianlong's palace in Zuogezhuang. He was worried about the country and could not sleep at night, so he wrote three poems.
④Longtou Shenwan
It is located in the south of Dongxin Village, Zuogezhuang Town, which is now called Longtou Wan Road. It is the ruins of the ancient Yanzhao Great Wall. It is said to be the place where the dragon descended, with a circumference of about four or five miles.
⑤Beijiling Bell
It is located in the Beijizhenwu Temple at the north gate of Zuogezhuang Town. There is a huge bell in the bell tower of Zhenwu Temple in Beiji. According to legend, it is a copper bell weighing about 400 kilograms. According to legend, it was floated from the upper reaches of the Daqing River. At night, the watch bell rang, and the sound was melodious, breaking the tranquility of the night. It flew to the surrounding villages and farmers, and could be heard in a radius of more than ten miles.
⑥Deyangchunse
It is located near the Dragon King Temple in Zuogezhuang Town. In the old days, there was a pavilion named Deyang Tower, which was a sight in the ancient town. In the Republic of China, there was only one towering earthen platform. According to legend, the owner of the building changed his clothes three times a day. The patterns woven on each piece of clothing are different according to the three hours.
⑦Guangji Arch Bridge
It is located in every village of Zuogezhuang Town. In the old days, in the area of ??Zuogezhuang Town, there was a large depression in the south and a little north along the Daqing River. There was a river on the edge of the center of the village. The two rivers crossed from east to west and poured into the river waves. There is a bridge named Guangji Bridge. At night, under the moonlight and star shadow, the long river is like a white silk ribbon with no end in sight. This scene is very strange.
⑧Haichao Chanyuan
It is located at the entrance of Huangdao in Zuogezhuang Town. It was rebuilt in the 47th year of Qianlong (1782). There is a calligraphy inscribed by Jing Yushu, a famous calligrapher from Wen'an, during the Qianlong period. A pair of tiles has been passed down to this day. Willow trees are widely planted in the surrounding area and grow luxuriantly. It was once a good place for people to relax and talk.
