Wuhan Youth Palace is divided into front area and back area. The front area is the main building of the Youth Palace-the art complex. Wuhan Youth Palace Art Complex broke ground on June 1 2003 and was completed on February 20, 2004. The art complex covers an area of 32,000 square meters, with a building area of 30,264 square meters (including the basement), with seven floors in total. There are 722 concert halls, 0/56 teaching rooms (including 92 art, physical education and cultural training classrooms), as well as gymnasiums, gymnasiums, table tennis halls, rehearsal halls, audio-visual rooms and other comprehensive venues, with 65 parking spaces. 25 piano rooms, 3 instrumental rooms and 3 vocal rooms are all equipped with silencing facilities. The sketch classroom is equipped with skylight, and the classroom uses natural light as much as possible. Teenagers and citizens can enjoy concerts and watch sports competitions here, and they can also participate in training and activities in literature, art, sports, science and technology. Wired communication networks, local area networks, more than 800 parents' loungers and other facilities and places provide more comprehensive services for the training and activities of teenagers and the general public.
The back area of Wuhan Youth Palace is an entertainment area. The green area in the back area is nearly 50,000 square meters, and the main roads are spacious and flat. There are mainly sports activity areas such as track and field football field, tennis court and basketball court, youth sea model base, water amusement places-water world, youth moral education base-Luxisan memorial statue, youth green square and other cultural attractions, as well as the "Re-taking the Long March Road" youth education practice base under construction, as well as youth Wu Wen School, Wuhan Branch of China Children's Art Troupe, and small press groups. At present, in order to implement the spirit of the instructions of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government on building the Youth Palace into a national first-class youth palace, the municipal land planning and landscape design departments are planning and designing the overall renovation of the back area of the Youth Palace in accordance with the principle of "giving priority to landscaping, clearly dividing functional areas and reflecting the physical and mental characteristics of young people". The overall renovation of the Youth Palace will be presented to the vast number of young people and citizens with a brand-new look, and will further improve Wuhan's urban functions.
For more than 50 years, Wuhan Youth Palace has adhered to the principle of "educating people", vigorously carried out practical activities of public welfare quality education for young people, and actively explored and practiced the training of new talents across the century.
