A brief introduction to the songwriters of the school song of Zhejiang University

Ma Yifu (1883-1967), a famous contemporary scholar, poet and calligrapher, was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. The first name is floating, and the word is too deep. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he was hired by President Zhu Kezhen as a professor at Zhejiang University, and then he went to Jiangxi and Guangxi to give lectures. In 1939, he founded Renaturation Academy in Leshan, Sichuan, and served as the dean and lecturer. Return to Hangzhou after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he successively served as the curator of Zhejiang Museum of Literature and History, the deputy curator of the Central Museum of Literature and History, and the invited member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. His works are rich, and he is known as the "Master of Confucianism, Buddhism and Philosophy". His works are the Complete Works of Ma Yifu.

Ying Shangneng (February 25th, 192—November 22nd, 1973), born in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, a vocalist, composer and songwriter of School Song of Zhejiang University. Graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1923, went to study in the United States in the same year, entered the Institute of Technology of the University of Michigan to study mechanical engineering, and then transferred to the School of Music. He graduated in 1929 and returned to China the following year as a professor at Shanghai National Conservatory of Music.
