Tianshan, literally means a mountain in the sky, big and high. It runs through central Xinjiang. The Tianshan Mountains, with a total length of 2,500 kilometers from east to west, 1,700 kilometers in Xinjiang, and a width of 250 to 300 kilometers from north to south, are the youngest mountain ranges in the world. The majestic northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains contains primeval forests that block the sky and the sun. The Tianshan Mountains are rich in glacial water resources, and there are basin oases scattered among the open areas with fertile land suitable for farming and grazing. The most charming thing about the fertile and beautiful Tianshan Mountains is the vast grasslands and alpine pastures. Traveling to the grassland is like entering a beautiful poem and painting.
The Tianshan Mountains have nearly 300 million acres of grassland, which is a treasure house of fine pasture in my country. Most of it is located at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains between the Barkol Grassland in the East Tianshan and the Ili Grassland in the West Tianshan. In the Great Yurdus Basin of the Zhongtian Mountains with an altitude of more than 2,500 meters, there is the Bayinbulak Prairie. This is the largest alpine pasture in the Tianshan Mountains. The land is vast and open, with lakes and swamps scattered everywhere, and hundreds of springs gathering together. There are tens of thousands of hectares of butter pasture that cattle and sheep love to eat. Nearly 700,000 large and small livestock are scattered like white clouds on the vast grassland. The white round yurts, like the houses of the mythical Snow White, are dotted on the green carpet, which is fascinating.
In the long and deep pastures of Tianshan Mountain Canyon, Kazakh and Mongolian herdsmen mainly live. They are a horseback nation, a hospitable nation, a singing and dancing nation. Even if you don't know each other, when you walk into the yurt, the host will treat you with courtesy and entertain you with milk tea, yogurt, and milk wine.
Summer pasture is a golden land for shepherds. When the summer heat in the northern and southern oases of the Tianshan Mountains is overwhelming, you are sweating, and the heat is unbearable, you can come to the alpine summer pasture, where the climate is cool and pleasant, making it a good place to spend the summer. Prairie Aken playing and singing concerts, material trade fairs and various celebrations are mostly held in the summer pasture, and there are various recreational activities such as horse racing, sheep holding, and girl chasing. The summer pasture is so refreshing, full of happiness, peace and joy.
