Wang Xizhi, a student of Yi, saw that Ji was slippery. Because of the book, the real grass was accidentally scraped by his father after half a year, and the students were surprised and regretted.

Once when he went to his protege's house, he saw several boxes made of ebony, which were very smooth and clean, so he wrote on them, half in regular script and half in cursive script. Later, the traces of these books were accidentally scraped off by the pupil's father, and the pupil was shocked and depressed for several days. On another occasion, Wang Xizhi met an old woman in Lushan, holding a hexagonal bamboo fan and selling it. He writes on bamboo fans, each with five words. At first, the old woman showed an unhappy expression on her face. Wang Xizhi said to her, "You can sell a hundred coppers as long as you say that this word was written by Wang Youjun." The old woman did as he said, and people rushed to buy it. Later, the old woman brought some bamboo fans. Wang Xizhi just smiled and refused to write any more. Wang Xizhi's calligraphy is valued by the world, just like the above example.
