Where is the location of Xiaomi Garden?

Xiaomi Garden is a cultural relic protection unit in Hangzhou.

Ma Po Lane 16, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, was originally a Chinese-style house purchased by Wang Huai, a tribute student in Tongxiang in Qing Dynasty. There are primitive pools, sancha bridges and rockeries in the park. Legend has it that the son of Mi Fei, a great calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty, left a site here, so he named it Xiaomi Mountain House (commonly known as Xiaomi Garden).

In the fifty-third year of Qing Qianlong (1788), Gong resigned from the Ministry of War and returned to his hometown of Hang Cheng. Just as the Wangs declined, he took the opportunity to buy Xiaomi Mountain House as a burial place, and his grandson Gong Zizhen was born and studied in Xiaomi Garden. Gong Zizhen's father, Gong Lizheng, is good at history and has written Notes on Mandarin. His mother is also a well-informed lady; Grandfather Duan Yucai is even more proficient in philology, and his important works include Notes on Explaining Characters, Biography of Mao Poems, Different Writing Methods of Ancient Chinese, Liushubiao, Zhou Lihan Reading Test, Han Yili Reading Test, Jing Yun Ji and so on. His knowledge is extensive and profound. When Gong was admitted to Jinshi in Jiaqing years, his three sons, He Zizhen and he were selected one after another, and they were also admitted to Jinshi in Daoguang years. The three brothers are also called "Three Gong in Dongcheng" in Hangzhou.

Gong Zizhen was not only born in Hang Cheng, but also went back to his hometown for a period of time in his later years and presided over Ziyang Academy in Hangzhou. Hundreds of years later, the millet garden declined, leaving only the remnant garden and the main hall. 1988, the park was reopened as "Gong Zizhen Memorial Hall". Covering an area of more than 600 square meters, it is a two-story building with five rooms up and down, with an ear room and carved beams and painted buildings, which is simple and elegant. A bust bronze statue of Gong Zizhen was placed in the main hall of the museum, surrounded by plaques and couplets inscribed by famous artists such as Sha Menghai and Zhao Puchu. The four exhibition rooms respectively show the graphic introduction of Gong Zizhen's life, chronology of major events, historical materials, Gong Nianpu, selected poems and essays and later generations' research collections. The small bridges and pavilions in the courtyard are full of the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens against the background of flowers and trees. The gate of the memorial hall faces east, and above Shikumen stands a stone tablet inscribed with the words "Gong Zizhen Memorial Hall", which was inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu. There is a stone tablet outside the door, which reads "Hangzhou Cultural Relics Protection Unit: Xiaomi Garden". You can see it when you enter Mapo Lane 100 meters.
