Appreciating every calligraphy work of Wang Zhenyu, an aesthetic feeling of "beyond rhyme" often seeps into his heart inadvertently.
Wang Zhenyu was influenced by his father since childhood and had a close relationship with calligraphy. After joining the army, he even regarded giving calligraphy as a pleasure, while others were relaxing, but he was immersed in reading. During the training interval, he used branches instead of ghosts to practice calligraphy on the sand, and realized the fun of drawing sand with a cone. On holidays, he often posts late into the night, sometimes staying up all night without knowing it. There was no suitable writing space, so I practiced in the study room. I used old newspapers instead of rice paper ... With this spirit of hard study, calligraphy and seal cutting of his alma mater, Urumqi Army College, were exhibited soon after I joined the army, which was a great encouragement to Wang Zhenyu, who was not good at calligraphy and skills at that time.
After graduating from the army, although his work was busy and his post changed many times, he still insisted on working and writing. During this period, he received careful guidance from many calligraphy predecessors, and his calligraphy level and skills have been greatly improved. In calligraphy, Wang Zhenyu likes running script.

Wang Xizhi's Preface to Lanting is a towering artistic peak in the history of calligraphy in China, and is known as "the best running script in the world". Wang Zhenyu took it as the first mode of learning to write running script, from writing to typesetting, from part to whole to part, and pursued handwritten copy step by step. In order to further understand the characteristics, he studied Wang Xizhi's other calligraphy posts, as well as Sun's book spectrum, Mi Fei's and Wang Duo's posts, from which he constantly strengthened the practice of lines and structures and cultivated his spirit, artistic conception and momentum.
After 20 years' efforts, Wang Zhenyu has formed his own unique running script style on the basis of mastery. His running script is free and easy with a pen, and his stippling is full and healthy. He often takes Fang Bi as the center, and seldom attacks. Some strokes are exaggerated and skillful, like orchid leaves stretching and flowing. His pen turns to the front, and the lines are thin and squeaky, clean and spotless, which forms the basic characteristics of his calligraphy art. In modeling, the font is tall and straight, the lines are stretched and concentrated, and the internal structure of each word has obvious contrast in tightness, length, thickness and width, which is harmonious and unified, especially the movement and fluctuation of calligraphy and lines, which is full of a beating rhythm and poetic rhythm.

Strong impact.
Wang Zhenyu believes that it is not enough to seek the true meaning of calligraphy only through practice, but also needs rich knowledge and profound cultivation. To this end, he not only diligently studied Chinese characters, but also constantly strengthened the cultivation of culture, especially China traditional culture, and constantly improved the connotation of his works through the exercise of "foreign characters". He dabbled extensively in literature, fine arts, aesthetics, history and other disciplines, so that all his knowledge was used in calligraphy, trying to achieve a comprehensive and comprehensive understanding of calligraphy art.
As a military calligrapher, Wang Zhenyu also used calligraphy as a channel to communicate with officers and soldiers, and as a link to close the emotional distance. Every time he leaves the army, "Four Treasures of the Study" is his must-have, and he enjoys writing for officers and men. Every year when cadres change jobs and veterans retire, many comrades ask him for ink. He always puts down what he is doing and sends a message in the form of calligraphy to encourage veterans. The brotherhood between comrades-in-arms, condensed in the elegant lines of calligraphy, has also become a beautiful memory of veterans at the last moment of the military camp.
Heaven rewards diligence, and art is endless. In the past 20 years, Wang Zhenyu studied books tirelessly and achieved fruitful results in his creation.
