Chen Xiwen, born in Beijing in 1964, is of Han nationality. He is a national first-class artist, a contracted painter with the Chinese Painting Academy, a third-generation direct disciple of the Daqian Sect, and a direct successor of the "Daqianhe" sect. In the 2008 Olympic Games, Chen Xiwen was specially hired by the Olympic Organizing Committee as a special painter for the 2008 Olympic Games, and his work won the Special Prize of the Olympic Organizing Committee. In the 2011 spring auction of contemporary calligraphy and painting, Chen Xiwen's four-square-foot Chinese painting sold for 290,000 yuan. In 2014, according to the calligraphy, painting and seal cutting review committee of the Cultural Heritage Protection Department of the China Native Art Association of the Ministry of Culture, the domestic rendering fee for Chen Xiwen’s calligraphy works was 20,000 yuan per square foot, and the domestic rendering fee for traditional Chinese painting works was 35,000 yuan per square foot. . In terms of painting style, Chen Xiwen inherited Zhang Daqian's splashing ink and color artistic style, and extensively absorbed the artistic nutrition of ancient and modern masters, truly "learning from the ancients, learning from the recent people, learning from all things, and learning from nature", while inheriting traditional culture , and also embarked on an innovative path, adding meticulous brushwork to the splash-ink and splash-color techniques of the Daqian School of Painting, and writing concurrently, creating a bold yet refined painting style.
