Zen calligraphy school is a new calligraphy school which combines China's Zen philosophy, Zen realm and Chinese character line art. It was initiated by Mr. Shi, a famous calligrapher in China. Its essence is: let go of affectation, break the tone of the box, be single-minded, quiet and natural. Its creative purposes are: attaching importance to nature and avoiding man-made; Re-cleaning, avoid fire dryness; Pay attention to innocence and avoid kitsch. Its creative principles are: to highlight the ontological characteristics of calligraphy as a line art; Heart and hand are one, books are like heart marks, relaxing body and mind, from the heart; Put down the technique, break the tone of the frame, return to simplicity and govern by doing nothing; The combination of beauty and form, the concentration of interest, the combination of form and intention, truly return to the heart.

I. Origin

Zen calligraphy art (referred to as "Zen calligraphy school" and "Zen calligraphy" for short) was first advocated by myself (Shi) on 1990. 1March, 992, I held my first solo exhibition of Zen books in Osaka, Kyoto and other places in Japan, and gave a speech exchange on Zen book creation, which once attracted the attention of Japanese book circles. 1997, my Zen book was first published on the cover of the third issue of Fa Yin magazine of the Chinese Buddhist Association. 1998 "friends of calligraphy" magazine published a declaration of Zen; From 65438 to 0999, he went to the southwest of China to spread Zen and began to cultivate Zen disciples.
