At the foot of Taogong Mountain, it is connected to Yaowan. It got its name from its proximity to Tangxing Temple. It was first built in the Tang Dynasty and has been repaired for generations. It is still well preserved and vehicles can still pass by. The bridge body is a single-hole granite structure with a clear span of 12 meters and a width of 6 meters. In the past, it was the only way from Xiangtan City to the west and south of the county, as well as Xiangxiang, Hengshan, Shaoyang and other places. There are granite railings on both sides of the bridge deck, and the pillars are decorated with stone carvings of small lions, elephants, deer, rabbits, etc., with vivid and lifelike shapes. Walking along the bridge, the Xiangjiang River is clear, with numerous boats and rafters, bayberry oasis, rivers and mountains emerging, and the stone mouth facing the wind, standing majestic. The famous educator and calligrapher of Xiangtan in modern times wrote "Jiangshan Scenic Spots" in four large Chinese characters, which are inscribed on the cliffs near the river. In the third year of Xianfeng (1853), Lin Shaozhang led the Taiping Army to conquer Xiangtan on the 24th of April in the ancient calendar. The Xuanxiang Army launched a land and water battle with them. It was an important battle to determine the final fate of both sides. It was called the "Battle of Xiangtan" in history. There was a battle fort beside Tangxing Bridge.
