China Art Appraisal Committee is a national institution. It is an authoritative organization specializing in the appraisal and evaluation of cultural and artistic works at home and abroad. The purpose is to carry forward the history and culture of the motherland, expand foreign exchanges, standardize market behavior, and promote the healthy and orderly development of cultural undertakings and collection appraisal activities. The appraisal committee consists of professional committees on jewelry and jade, painting and calligraphy, metalworking, ceramics, tickets, miscellaneous Buddha statues, law, education and training. Adhering to the principles of seeking truth from facts, putting people first, putting morality first and putting quality first, the professional committee hired senior experts, professors and scholars from the Palace Museum, the Capital Museum, key universities and scientific research institutions, collectors with decades of market experience, and high-tech appraisal instruments and equipment imported from the United States, Japan and other countries. The Appraisal Committee now has more than 4 1 000 works in 33 categories, including ancient and modern celebrity calligraphy and painting, ancient ceramics, ancient jade, ancient coins, metal products and Buddha statues.
