Dong Lao not only made outstanding contributions to China's revolution and construction, but also had high attainments in China's classical poetry, calligraphy and cultural history. Recently, I read Dong Lao's poems, and I was deeply educated and deeply touched. After the founding of New China, Dong Lao paid great attention to the greening work and strongly advocated afforestation.

In January 1964, 79-year-old Dong Lao visited Hubei, during which he paid close attention to forestry all the time and thought about its development.

Taking poetry as a substitute, he expounded the significance of road greening for the benefit of the country and the people. "Beside the railway and highway, there is potential for planting trees ... with beautiful scenery, it is advisable to have it or not.
