At the entrance of the museum, in front of a seven-meter-high "Source of Life" sculpture, three deformed ancient Han dragons are vigorous and powerful. The dragon's tail rose to the sky, holding up the stainless steel ball symbolizing the earth, showing people that there would be no life on the earth without the support of the dragon symbolizing "water". Water is the "source of life". The history of human water use, the basic knowledge of water, the preciousness of water resources, the production process of tap water, the key points of water supply technology, water-saving knowledge and the development process of modern water supply in China are exhibited in the museum. Through visiting, people can increase their understanding of water, raise their awareness of protecting water resources and cherish the "source of life"-water more consciously. The exhibition hall is an important part of the water supply technology museum, which reflects the historical data and collections of water supply development in China and is also a place for people to acquire water knowledge. Dozens of blue ball lights are hung on the top of the hall, and the word "water" written by calligraphers of past dynasties is engraved on the wall, which is a wave-like guide railing. This series of combinations adds the flavor of "water". The water supply history exhibition hall records the traces of drinking water activities left by human beings at the beginning of the earth, the primitive culture bred by water and the historical materials of human activities to obtain high-quality drinking water. From the primitive wooden well found in Hemudu Neolithic site in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province to the water supply project of the ancient city around Chang 'an, the capital of Han and Tang Dynasties; China is the first country to use alum as a water purification technology to reduce turbidity in water, and the pictures of ancient water use, water supply equipment, antique pottery and research materials at home and abroad are like opening a chapter in history.
