Thoughts on Reading Liu Gongquan's Hard Calligraphy Practice

"Write eight cylinders of water, inkstone dipped in black water, winning a hundred relatives, and then dragons and phoenixes fly." This is a sentence that Liu Gongquan, a famous calligrapher in China, never forgets.

One day, in Beijing, Liu Gongquan saw an old black man with no arms sitting on the ground and writing with his feet. He is writing couplets with his left foot pressed against the paper and his right foot clamped with a pen. His handwriting is like a galloping horse, which won the cheers of onlookers. Liu Gongquan worshipped the old man as a teacher on the spot, but the old man said modestly, "I am a lonely man, born without hands, and I can only live skillfully by my feet." Liu Gongquan begged, and the old man spread a piece of paper on the ground and wrote a few words with his right foot: "Write eight jars of water, and the inkstone is dyed black in the waterlogged pool, winning a hundred parents, and then the dragon and the phoenix fly." Liu Gongquan kept the old man's words in mind and worked hard to practice calligraphy. After hard practice, Liu Gongquan finally became a famous calligrapher in China.

Liu Gongquan is shameless, and I admire his hard-working spirit. Think about some students in life who are self-righteous and give up halfway after working for three minutes. Me too. I learned to skate in grade one, when my good friend Zhang Qingxue couldn't skate. Last summer, Jasmine Zhang Journal held a training class, worked hard for a summer vacation and sweated a lot. She skates much better than me now. Think about it. What still bothers me is my electronic organ. I practiced CET-4 in kindergarten, but I gave up after practicing for half a semester because I was busy with my homework in primary school. It's shameful to think about Liu Gongquan and yourself. In my future life and study, I will take Liu Gongquan as an example. If we have a threesome, learn from each other's strengths and persevere, I will certainly make greater progress.

Liu Gongquan is an example worth learning from all of us.
