Famous Masters Talk about Reading: Schopenhauer's "Bad Book"

Artur Schopenhauer (1788-1860) German philosopher.

Between 1814 and 1819, he completed his representative work "The World as Will and Representation" in intellectual solitude. When no one paid attention to it after it was published, he said this very domineeringly and confidently. : "If it's not that I am not worthy of this era, then this era is not worthy of me."

Schopenhauer was one of the few philosophers that Wittgenstein read and appreciated, and influenced Nietzsche and Salvador Schopenhauer. Many other philosophers initiated irrationalist philosophy.

Today I read one of his articles "Bad Books". The first part of the article criticizes those things freely:

The second part of the article teaches us "Never The method of "over-reading" is: Never read books that are popular with most readers at any time, such as books that are famous or have been published several times a year, regardless of whether they belong to Political or religious or novel or poetry.

You have to know that anyone who writes for fools will always be popular with the public. It is better to use your precious time to read the famous works of great men that have been evaluated. Only these books are beneficial to open.
