At present, the overseas Chinese communities in Southeast Asia, such as China Taiwan Province Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region, countries with cultural circle of Chinese characters, Singapore and Malaysia, and Chinese mainland, still retain or use traditional Chinese characters under the special needs of cultural relics, different surnames, calligraphy seal cutting and calligraphy inscriptions.
