Whenever I come home from school, I can't help but pick up the books in my bedroom and get fascinated. I didn't put down my book and start doing my homework until my mother came home from work to buy food. When my homework was finished, I picked up another book and read it hungrily. Sometimes, I am reading when I eat or go to the toilet.
One day in the third grade, I was absorbed in reading and ignored the time. I woke up in the morning and realized that I hadn't done my homework yet. I'm as anxious as a cat on hot bricks-running around. Fortunately, my mother pleaded with the teacher for me and escaped. Now I am a good boy. I'll read for a while, and then I'll do my homework when my mother comes back. After that, I will read books. Although I have less time to study, it has never weakened my admiration for books.
To tell the truth, I have always regarded books as my idol, and I am a big fan of them. I am glad to visit my idol in the library. Every time I finish reading a book, I always feel "reborn". Every time I "transform", my knowledge is through going up a flight of stairs.
