Xiaohong Monument and Xiaohong Tomb are located 5 meters east of Xigang Park in Hulan District. It was built in November 1992. Xiaohong Monument and Xiaohong Tomb cover an area of 69 square meters. Monuments and tombs face south. Monument and tomb are a scenic spot, divided into two main buildings. The monument is located in the south, and the cemetery is in the north, 5 meters apart. It is surrounded by a book-shaped pattern fence built by square steel concrete. Xiaohong Monument is 2.4 meters high, 3.4 meters wide and .7 meters thick. It is carved from a large Daqing stone made in the north. On the left side of the front of the monument, there are five characters of "Xiao Hong Monument" inlaid with brass and gold plating, and the small characters are: "Harbin Daily, Hulan County People's Government, built on November 1, 1992". The font is vigorous and powerful running script. The inscription was written by Mr. Wang Tian, an old calligrapher in our province. On the left side of the front of the monument, Xiao Hong's head is inlaid with bronze relief, which is the work of Mr. Wang Songyin, a famous sculptor in our province. The lower end of the head is inlaid with a copper-plated embossed wreath. The pedestal of the monument is .8 meters above the ground, which is a white jade-like steel-concrete inclined pedestal.
Xiao Hong's tomb, covering an area of 14 square meters, is .8 meters high. The tomb and tombstone are carved with gray granite. The tomb is rectangular, 1.9 meters long and .45 meters high. The tomb is placed on a stone surface made up of 15 square bluestones. The epitaph is engraved with gold, and the word "Xiao Hong's Tomb" was inscribed by Xiao Hong's former husband, Mr. Duanmu Hongliang. The cemetery is surrounded by a China classical bridge fence that imitates white marble. Xiao Hong's tomb is a green silk tomb. In the coffin room, there is a wisp of hair cut from Xiao Hong's death and treasured by Mr. Duanmu Hongliang for nearly 5 years.
Xiaohong Monument and Tomb were announced as provincial cultural relics protection units in 1999.
