"Different calligraphy styles have their own aesthetic principles, but they have similarities, and they must embody the pointillism and shelf structure. The mastery of calligraphy must be based on the natural phenomena and enrich the connotation of calligraphy. Therefore, exquisite calligraphy can produce many images when people observe it: "Observe the strangeness of a man's dangling needle and dew, the wonder of thunder and falling rocks, the terror of flying beasts" The posture is like a luan dancing in a snake's frightened state; it is like a slumping peak on a cliff, or it is as heavy as a collapsing cloud, or as light as a cicada's wing. It rises from the sky cliff and falls like stars in the river. The wonders of nature cannot be achieved by force. I believe that if you have both wisdom and skill, your hand will not move in vain, and there will be a smooth stroke. , becomes undulating at the peak; within a point, it is as sharp as a hair. "
The rules of calligraphy are simple and basic: hide the head and protect the tail, go in and out, and use the center. The pen is so talented and restrained, the meaning is hidden, and the pen is powerful.
Higher-level rules and regulations: the points are like falling rocks from a peak, the horizontal lines are like cloud formations thousands of miles away, the bends are like golden hairpins, the brush strokes are like a cone drawing sand, and the traces of leaks in a house are like traces. Master the ups and downs of the escapement, write quickly and lightly, and use thick and light ink to dry out dampness. If you draw a short one, the strokes are short and the meaning is long; if you draw a long stroke, you must work harder; there are also strokes that are broken and the meaning is connected, etc.
Wang Xizhi said: "A little loss of position is like a diseased eye of a beautiful woman; a loss of integrity in a painting is like a broken arm of a strong man"
"The Biography of Wang Xizhi" written by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty: "Watch the slightest movement. The craftsmanship of the cutting is wonderful, the smoke and dew are condensed, and the shape seems to be broken but still connected; the phoenix and the dragon are like slanting but straight;
Mi Fu's "Haiyue Famous Sayings": "Nothing is hanging down. Shrinking, taking everything in";
