He joined the Tongmenghui in his early years, followed Sun Yat-sen and devoted himself to the democratic revolution. He served as Sun Yat-sen's secretary in Guangzhou. In 1959, the Ganzhou City Cultural Management Committee was established, and all of Xie Jingxu’s calligraphy and painting collections were collected into the collection, which has now become the treasure of the Ganzhou City Museum.
