After Mr. Zhang Shoushi was an aristocrat in the Qing Dynasty, people were afraid because of the collapse of the Qing court and political turmoil. Mr. Shoushi was secretly sent to his grandfather's house in Langfang, Hebei Province for foster care when he was a child, so he remained anonymous and changed his name to Zhang after his grandfather's surname, hoping for peace. Mr. Shoushi studied calligraphy in Linchi since he was a child, and he was quite talented in calligraphy and painting. He visited famous teachers in many places, and later learned the essence of Baishi's calligraphy, seal cutting and painting, and became a biography of Baishi.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the political situation is getting better and better. Before he died, grandpa told him the truth about his childhood foster care and insisted that he go back to his hometown in Beijing. The family is happily reunited. His name is Aisin Jiro Shoushi. Due to the upbringing of his grandparents, he has always used the name Zhang Shoushi, and his works are usually signed Aisingiorro Shoushi or Shoushi.
